@EthicalHoopz @DerekCarty @EricLindquist I think it holds up pretty well. If anything, the effect would probably be further reduced because of better prep from both sides on specifically troublesome matchups

@benarhatch @DerekCarty @EricLindquist Appreciate it — actually think I have a copy and will take a look! A bit dated tho at this point, no?

Hi. This is your yearly reminder that BvP is meaningless and should not in any way be a part of your process. Carry on!

@DerekCarty @EricLindquist Man why are you being passive aggressive lmao I am begging anyone to give me something to read about it

Here's my #TGFBI league draft so far. It's hard to feel too good or too bad at this point of a draft. I have a lot of speed so far. Average power.

Thomas Nestico@TJStats
Nolan McLean (#6 Prospect) somehow looks nastier than last season! In his 4 innings of work, he dialed up his fastballs to 98 MPH and struck out 6. His ability to spin his breaking balls is outstanding and makes him one of the favourites to win NL Rookie of the Year!

@YankeeWRLD Tucker's projections seem consistently way too low - he was elite the past two years before fluke injuries. I'd give him 12/450 at minimum.

Happy that I got my first @TGFBI win in my second attempt, especially with it coming down to the wire against @markblakemore!
Also was honored to face @PitcherList - no one has taught me more about how to analyze the game.

English

@JLucroy20 I wonder if the numbers show the result but are useless in predicting the result.
Like the result we get when people are in front of the camera and unwittingly change their behavior.
When we aim for those analytical outcomes something else happens instead.
English

The difference being that guys who played the game understand that it's a process to achieve the result.
A to B to C to....Z.
You can use the results to refine the process along the way. That's why numbers are a tool that can be used.
Baseball's Not Dead@dead_baseball
@JLucroy20 I think most of the pro-analytics v anti-analytics can be boiled down to this and each side not realizing that they're really talking about different things (process v results).
English

@MLBRandomStats Brian Lara's Test runs in an innings comes to mind. Beat it by a similar margin (6%) just a few months after his prior record was beaten.
English

It’s preseason so doesn’t count, but kinda absurd when a record gets broken by this much (reg season record is 66yds!).
Any other recent examples of something like this in any sport?

A 70-yard field goal from Cam Little. 70!
