When I worked at twitter; I got ping'd by someone from the bot detection team asking me if my usage was natural -- I hit one of their new test bot detectors. Then I sent him a video of how I use this website and he was like "oh.."

@jxnlco One amazing thing would be if I could basically screen share while explaining. If I could literally show codex a workflow as I talk about it and teach it what it is I do so that it could make a skill based on that. That would be the future!!

If you're using codex desktop app today, what features do you feel like are still missing? Let me know and I’ll summarize all the feedback and share internally.

@theo This issue starts from opencode v1.14.41. When downgrading to .40 it works correctly.

GitLab announced a layoff today. Please take this seriously. There will be many, many more. Your assignment is clear: Get skilled ---- ------ and practice shipping to prod. It doesn't matter if you're HR, eng, infra, customer success, admin, ops, sales, whatever. As a Founder/CEO, I can tell you that I won't be hiring any employees who aren't really skilled ---- ------ and able to ship to prod. I'm not alone in this. There is -- an 'engineering' org in the future.

@timmyodunuga @benbrk__ Working on it...thank u for ur patience. Problem with trying to do something like this is that there is always bad actors that start showing up and its a little bit of a cat and mouse game

I hated how bad agents are at design I hated how Codex can't access Mobbin So I created Lazyweb - 257k+ screens (apps/web) - 6 opinionated design research skills - 1 MCP (Claude/Codex) 100% Free...AI native...no rate limits...no subscriptions.. Enjoy (and tell a friend) 🫡

I worry about @zeddotdev as a business. Is anyone out there actually paying them for a sub? Honestly, I prefer the JetBrains model of paying for quality desktop software.

@chrisgpt @theo @vitorpy That’s not the point. It’s as if you buy an iPhone and when it arrives you get it with a broken screen and then Apple emails you and says don’t worry we’ll ship you a new screen soon

Yeah, I fucked up. It was over a year ago. Someone had told me it was four months ago and I thought I might’ve been confusing products so I went with it but regardless you even having to say two people versus one is a bit pedantic like obviously it was a very small project at scale and it works for millions of people right now. Every single problem you listed will objectively get fixed with AI unless you think that AI will never reach the level of human programmers, which is obviously not the case???

In defense of the Claude code team Yes it is vibe coded That doesn’t mean it will objectively stay bad - or that it is bad now. You have to remember Claude code was made 4 months ago by a singular individual. And for a product in which 100% of the updates are vibe coded it is phenomenal/ extremely useful in the terminal > millions of people use it daily I understand Theo is upset but all of these concerns are going to go away in a few months. It is only a matter of time before we look at human made code bases with the same distain as we currently do for vibe coded ones Any app at this scale is difficult to maintain and for the first vibe coded software to reach this many users this quickly. It does a good job.
Theo - t3.gg@theo

The Claude Code Desktop app is an affront on software. As developers, we should be offended that they chose to ship something this awful. Rushed out my video because I feel like I'm going insane.

@GregMolnar Honestly aerospace has been great for me on macos but compared to actual wms it’s not even close. I did find it by far the best out of the available macos solutions
