@ajanowski02 The democrat party has done such a wonderful job running Illinois the last 23 years. People and businesses must be lining up to move here. Let’s dance!

#Illini Tomislav Ivisic on the message from Brad Underwood after OT loss to Wisconsin: "We're lucky that this is not the last game of the season. We got one more guaranteed game... We just got to be more focused on the defensive end..."

@DelegateIhle @OhioTate Granted, they are 19-22 years old. Maturity for athletes of those ages obviously won’t be as strong as professionals. What I hate is that 2/3 of the team came from affluental suburbs and they attend the most expensive school in the state. They’ve never seen a struggle.

Way too many people celebrating Miami Ohio losing. Why do you care so much? Undefeated teams rock. March Madness (still gonna be incredible) took a slight hit this morning.

@camsutter03 @OhioTate It has plenty of correlation. That's the loudest, rowdiest place to play in the country. If you knew ball, you'd know that. And I was there, and I saw it and heard it. So I in fact do know what happened. And I witnessed how juvenile of a program Miami truly has.

HR warned a Gen Z employee that leaving exactly at 5pm every day shows “lack of dedication.” The next day the guy stayed until 6pm. At 6:01 he walked into HR’s office and asked where to submit the overtime form. HR told him it wasn’t paid overtime. The Gen Z guy went back to leaving at 5pm.

@DrakeFantasy @joshdbrett There is no governing body capable of making those rules, and the can of worms opened by schools actually paying athletes to compete will require an untold amount of billable hours to sort through.

@joshdbrett It's going to be a major overhaul with contracts and spending limits. Players sign for 2-4 years like a real job. You're under contract. You get a paycheck.

@BarberiGary1024 @EmilioRenzi_ @adamjahns Aside from forcing turnovers, the 2025 Bears defense was bad. Wright struggled in coverage all season. Paying both Wright and Byard in hopes the turnover luck continues doesn’t seem like the best plan for a defense that ranked bottom 10 in the NFL in most important categories.

Here's the big question: Are the Bears a better team today than the one that fell short in the divisional round against the Rams? Or is it time for Ryan Poles to pivot again? Is it time to be bold and get Maxx Crosby? Let's talk about it. allchgo.com/is-time-now-ri…

@MattMichels17 @KangintheNorth You have Caleb Rome Loveland and Burden on Rookie deals for the next 3 seasons lol Now is when you pay guys to take the team to the next level. He’s completely neglecting the worst part of our team from last season. He’s incompetent.

Poles has no intention of rushing any passer. We've had a chance to fix the pass rush and neglected it again. Drafting a million DL ain't going to fix it. Needed an established guy, had some opportunities, and ignored them.

Their approach, thus far, to “improving” their DL has been two rotational/replacement level DTs that ranked nowhere on anybody’s Top FA lists. I said it before & I’ll say it again: If their plan is to simply draft a few guys early & hope that works, good luck. #Bears

@wischlist There was no transfer portal and he spent 2 seasons running a pressure defense that clearly did not work. Perhaps that was due to lack of talent on those rosters, but he scrapped the defense prior to year 3 and the program took off. Obviously Ayo & Kofi’s arrival helped.

A lot of people criticized Brad Underwood for building a foundation and losing his first couple of seasons rather than chasing quick early wins. Underwood did it right.
Matt Glenesk@MattGlenesk

Darian DeVries tried to build his Year 1 #iubb squad with quick fixes, old transfers. It didn't work. Now he's left with nothing and has to start all over next year. Didn't set a culture. No player growth. Nothing. Just a completely wasted season.

This Miami discourse cracks me up. People overhype this team like crazy and when you add context reminding them just how bad the schedule is, they respond saying you’re obsessed and butthurt lol. The problem isn’t with Miami it’s with the people who hype them and don’t know ball.

@be_happyto @APBear76 @JBPritzker Caterpillar announced the manufacturing move to Mexico in March 2015, two months after Rauner was sworn in. Except for Rauner’s term, democrats have controlled the governorship and both chambers of the legislature since 2003.

@APBear76 @JBPritzker They decided to move their headquarters to Texas in 2022 to be closer to the manufacturing facility in Monterey, Mexico they opened in 2015 three years before J.B. Pritzker was elected governor. And who was governor in 2015? Bruce Rauner. A Republican. Facts matter.

Caterpillar, a cornerstone of Illinois industrial manufacturing for the last century, is now fleeing Illinois and moving their headquarters to Texas. Taking roughly 75 million dollars in local and state tax revenue annually, with them. Great work @JBPritzker

@BrosephusRex @kenner_laurel @californiapost Risks lie on a spectrum with necessary at one end and unnecessary at the other. Backcountry skiing in the Sierra during a blizzard seems to fall closer to the latter, but I understand it could be a matter of opinion

@TerryTerry79 @DanWetzel @CollegeGameDay @ReceDavis They may, but it will be a culture shock. It would diminish the talent advantage they’ve historically had over at least 75% of their opponents, and none of them are used to finishing in the bottom half of any conference they’ve ever competed in

@DanWetzel @CollegeGameDay @ReceDavis tOSU/Mich/PSU/ND would make far more TV revenue forming their own 32-40 team Super League. Allow member schools to negotiate their own TV deals with ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC. No revenue sharing. Other blueblood schools will eagerly bolt there.

@MichaelBorkey It depends on what the judge said the attorneys. If you’re going to take the matter under advisement for a relatively short period of time and return to the bench to rule within the hour, you should make that very clear.
