@TheBrancaShow @Fdanconia85 I’m not sure the law here, and this is hypothetical, but I wonder…if I provoke someone, then they begin beating me almost to DEATH, aren’t I allowed to defend myself? Seems like two separate incidents almost. I provoked and he hit me, but now he’s attempting to kill me…

None of this has anything to do with the First Amendment. You're free to say the n-word if you wish, and if someone attacks you for it, they're breaking the law.
Now stay with me here, because this seems to be the part you don't get.
It is ALSO TRUE that if you PROVOKE someone into attacking you, YOU LOSE THE LEGAL JUSTIFICATION OF SELF-DEFENSE.
Both these things are true at the same time.

@ChudTheBuilder I’m on Chud’s side simply because it’s free speech and nobody complaining has come close to a legit argument against him. And they really can’t, because it’s literally a question of free speech.
