@benwmaddox hahahahahaha. if i had the full-height of our freezer available JUST for burritos, i'd 100% do this.

v1 of the burrito dispenser printing now. ~7x7x12", printing with 0.8mm nozzle. no supports. ~6h and ~678g of filament. not loving that back angled panel but i needed a back stop and was trying to do this without supports while printing facedown. will probably revisit for v2.

@girdley I think the biggest clarifying point is: live forever while really healthy or barely better than life support?

One fun intellectual exercise for your next long walk: What breaks in our economy if people live forever? What if they could go into stasis for 200 years? (Or if you want a real-world use case, what breaks if the entire country is old?) Also, I need more hobbies, clearly.

I went browsing for a new wedding band today and discovered the concept of a “lab grown diamond” and now I’m questioning the entire premise. Your choice is spending $$ on what is essentially very sparkly costume jewelry, or $$$$ on less sparkly jewelry that will not retain value. What is the point of this?

I wondered what would happen for StasisLang (my custom game programming language) if I made a custom AI harness. Well, I did it and got it to be a pretty good improvement. I provided a basic instruction to change a game and it seems to complete the task much faster and with much fewer tokens.

What are you building this weekend?

Tinkering with desktop live editing of games from a TUI for StasisLang. Inspiration from REPLs and Smalltalk. Just seeing what's possible. (Live numbers from running game, ability to edit functions and update running game)

@thsottiaux Custom warnings would be good. Example, if I use up 1/5 in one day, warn me.

We've had no 5h limit in Codex plus and pro for a few days. Do you think it is better or are you finding it difficult to manage the usage included in the weekly limit effectively? If we were to make this different, what should it look like in an ideal world?

@mattmerrick16 Note that it is android only (iOS has restrictions about generating code at runtime)

@mattmerrick16 You see see my tinkering project. Full AI setup available from within game on mobile to change the game while it runs. Very early stages though

@jamonholmgren I just started rewriting an old flash game from 2008 era to Stasis (compiled with cranelift) and it is insane. Used to be impossible to keep CPU sane. No attempts at optimizations and it is 1-2% CPU now.

I rewrote a "pre-bake terrain shadows" script in C++ and it's 60X faster than GDScript. Same approach. Welp.

@IMAO_ API based vs subscription, I think. Enterprise setup can be different when sharing budgets

Am I doing something wrong? I hear about coders getting limited to $200 in AI a week, but I feel like I’m doing a week’s worth of coding a day but I was just fine on the Claude Max $100 a month plan until Fable came out.
