And while 13 service members being killed is horrible, as a veteran myself, sometimes wonderful people die so wonderful things happen. Playing the "one is one too many" card, in my experience, is like saying those 13 died for nothing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Those 13 American deaths are not only worth it, but are needed for the cost of freedom. Those 13 are fucking heroes. Not just a number to be used as props for an anti-mission stance on a mission that had to happen.
