@PIRATE_ANZU the quality and vatiety went down hill. their strength was being the only fast casual homestyle smorgasbord/buffet style restaraunt and once they lost thw quality and variety on the menu that died.

thinking about Boston Market again. IMO its core problem was that having to deal with bones is inelegant. Critical weakness in the fast casual arena it definitely had its advantages over both Chipotle and Panera, but you can't have your flagship product be such a mess to eat

The massive immigration surge during the Biden admin is and will be the defining challenge in conservation law enforcement for the next two decades. This is the only thing my game warden partners want to talk about (game wardens with last names like Hernandez and Martinez mind you), the scope and scale of the problem is absolutely massive. They describe to me a two tiered system of public land and wildlife access, where Americans need stickers for the OHVs and snowmobiles, Americans need hunting and fishing licenses, Americans wouldn’t dream of poaching. People here as “refugees” or as catch and release, who don’t even possess American IDs or a permanent address are not the same to interact with as you are. It’s very similar to the illegals who cause car accidents and local cops do little about it. They don’t even have processes in place for how to ticket these people, let alone educate them in fair chase, anti poaching, conservation and so on. This isn’t just a land issue either. The idea of using the honor system, and placing your tag on your one bull redfish for the season *does not translate* to someone from a country where they shoot dolphins from shrimp boats with a shot gun.

Vance is pretty much inevitable in 2028 at this point and I know a lot of you aren't going to want to hear that but its just how it is.
