Is it not unreasonable to think that out of the population 6k are simply unemployable? The disruption any one of these would cause to any organisation far outweighs the cost of keeping them benched. An alternative to jobseekers should be devised for them. They will never find a job. Simply create locations that they must turn up to every day, 5 days a week for 8 hours and pay social welfare daily. Universities maybe.

The NUJ should withdraw all its members from covering any Q&A sessions organised by PB4P and notify radio and TV broadcasters that they will face strong sanctions if any PB4P member appears on their programs, unless the political party issues a formal apology for its disgraceful treatment of an accredited journalist. NUJ members must also show solidarity by supporting any action the NUJ takes against PB4P. The NUJ has a great opportunity now to show its strength and show what a union will do to support its members.

However, the O'Shea report (2023) found that current abortion laws are not meeting the needs of women and pregnant people. I was delighted to hear yesterday that @sinnfeinireland legislation to remove the mandatory three-day waiting period for abortion care in early pregnancy has passed.
