@RepJackKimble @magachrchpastr I feel like the two of you together could do a revival and town hall- a town revival of sorts. We’d get to hear from the best pastor ever and the best representative ever.

The hunters I know would have taken this guy out behind the bar and beat him with a rubber hose. Anyone this sadistic will hurt a person, too, and probation is a joke of a sentence.

Cody Roberts filmed himself chasing a 9-month old female wolf on a snowmobile, laughing at her terror & exhaustion, repeatedly hitting her. He duct-taped her mouth, brought her to a bar. For hours, people took photos as she bled to death. Then he shot her. 2 yrs probation.

Just when President Trump finally had our economy back on the right track, the Biden economy reanimated like a sleeper cell to inflict inflation and high prices upon us yet again. This is what happens when you ban prayer from the classrooms and the boardrooms, imho🙏🇺🇸

@megbasham Can you please tell me how possibly annihilating an entire civilization (full of innocent babies, women, children, men) is pro-life? How is that more pro-life than abortion?

@resisfertile There is a difference between pro-choice and pro-abortion, just like there’s a difference between pro-birth and pro-life. Also- we are a nation founded on freedom of religion and freedom from religion. We are not a Christian nation.

This shouldn't be controversial for Christians and for Americans. False religions have no place in a nation, especially one's built on untold evils. If you are a "religious liberty" Christian, you are by nature a pro-abortion Christian and pro-1000 other evils. You can't have both, so pick a side. Pluralism or Christ.
Rep. Andy Ogles@RepOgles

My comments wouldn’t even be a news story if I had said this about Christians. Please spare me your moral outrage. Cry harder. Christ is King.

We can’t let our love&high hopes for Jasmine Crockett make us dislike/reject Talarico. Let’s follow her lead: support him&help him win Senate seat. Talarico wasn’t 1st choice4many of us, but now he’s our ONLY chance2beat Cornyn or Paxton. And GOP’s nuts if Paxton’s their nominee.

Texas had two great Democratic candidates. I would have been happy if either won the primary. One brought the fire one brought the calm, both want the things Democrats fight for. I hate when camps get so dug in that they take defeat as a diss. We can't always win. A win doesn't mean a cheat. Let's be honest. Republicans wanted Crockett to win the primary because they felt they could use her to turn out the MAGA vote. They fear Talarico. I'm team Crockett but I'm also a realist and realize now is not the time to stop voting. This was a PRIMARY for goodness sake. We have a lot of work to do if we want to continue to progress Texas. Please stay focused. #DemsUnited

Nine years ago I told my wife to stop reading anything from John Pipers ministry because every single thing they put out was weak and effeminate. Glad I trusted my gut. Turns out he’s been a leftist the whole time.

“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:34 Christians know the miserable bondage we were all in.

@conservmillen It’s how you treat the sojourner that speaks to the condition of your heart. If you want to be legalistic & only define what a sojourner is w/o advocating to treat them like a fellow child of God, you are part of the problem. The law can be followed & we can treat them w/mercy.

Maybe we are all reading too much into Piper’s post, but for those who do use this passage to justify illegal immigration or to argue against deportations, keep this in mind: “There shall be one law for the native and for the stranger who sojourns among you.” Exodus 12:49 If we’re going to use OT commands as the basis for immigration law today, then we’re looking at *far* stricter regulations than what we have currently. The tolerance for illegal migration in ancient Israel was 0. A sojourner had to follow laws about circumcision, food, marriage—all of them. We can also see this persistent principle throughout the OT: wall-lessness = lawlessness. The book of Nehemiah highlights the prudence of a strong border as an edifice of protection and a symbol of God’s provision. Israel knew - as many nations after them have known - that you cannot love your nation or your neighbor while failing to protect your borders from enemies. Jeremiah 29:7 insists that exiles should seek the welfare of the nation in which God had providentially placed them. Christians - who are also exiles on earth - are still called to do so today. Remember, nations and borders and governments and laws were God’s idea. He is a God of order who created structures and systems for our good and His glory. God placed us first in a garden - not a jungle. The difference between the two is order. “Working and keeping” the plot of earth God has entrusted to us means maintaining righteous order rather than encouraging lawlessness.

@Belinda_Lashes @BethMooreLPM In this case, voting for the policies not the person (when the person claims to be a Christian but does not embody any characteristics of a Christian) looks like Christians are supportive of him and his actions to the outside world. And it doesn’t bring people to Christ.

I'm just a middle class wife, mother, grandmother and regular church and bible study attender. I have done a few of your studies and truly enjoyed them. I love Jesus and I love learning and growing. I personally was very turned off with your political comments during the past election and in all honesty - I didn't really care for what I read/heard/saw. But that's ok as I don't look to Bible teachers as my guide for voting. In fact, the less I know about their political views the better. I just want to know what they think about Jesus and the bible. I look to the posted platform of the candidate and support the party that aligns more with policies that are important to me. I vote for policies and not the person. It is my opinion that you focused a bit too much on the person and not the policies and many people I know voiced the same frustration. I respect your views, and just because we don't agree with each other make either one us bad. The only difference is that you have a public platform in the ministry -- and I'm pretty sure you do not have a ministry/political organization. I know you want to be heard, you want to share your heart and I really do respect that and I hear you. But in return, maybe you can hear the side that was a bit put off by knowing a bit too much of your political views and we (I) couldn't help but be affected by your vocal posts. I look at Tim Tebow as an incredible example of this. He stays focused on his mission - helping the hurting and broken children of the world. He never talks politics - just stays focused on the mission. I've never, ever replied to a post - like ever. This is my very first public reply. I felt it was important for me to speak up and let you know that many Christians were voting for policies and not for the person. Many Christian women were a tad bit put off by knowing what your political views were and not that you had them - as it was really never any of our business to know them. We just want to hear you teach the word of God, we don't want to know your politics.

I share this post in earnest and (what may prove a naive) hope that a few people caught in the situation I’m about to describe will hear instead of rushing to the usual tropes, criticisms and caricatures. For what it’s worth, I offer this in good faith. Between 2016 and 2022, I faced a test of the genuineness of my faith so large and consequential, I’m almost at a loss to think of the right adjectives to describe it. It might not have been so big to someone else but it involved so much of my Christian identity, it was all but existential. Well more than that. It was a dying. It is this test that helps me understand why people who seem deeply devoted to the Lord Jesus and hold the scriptures in highest esteem also hold to a system, institution or leader no matter what they do and defend a side or individual to a degree that is baffling. I can tell you why because I had to face every bit of it. Identity, community, camaraderie, what we’ve known and loved, what part of it we still love, the people we loved, the people we still love, reputation, what people will think, how you will be judged and condemned and thrown over to the other side who doesn’t want you either. And to whom you also do not align and would not belong. Friendships. How you will be misunderstood and misrepresented. How adrift and alone you will feel. How disliked. And then there’s this and it would be a mistake to minimize it: your JOB. Your source of income. Your vocation. This is the part of the crisis I most write these words to convey because I think they are most in play for many right now, whether in media, ministry or politics. Let me try to put this in the words that were constantly resonant in my spirit in those years. And to this day. Though you have no other place to go, Beth, and no place to fit and it not only MAY have financial repercussions but WILL have financial repercussions to the ministry and to your family and will also make them targets and none of it will ever look the same or be the same, will you choose what you believe to be right and put everything else in your vocational life at risk? This is what is at risk for many people whose professional reputations and positions are tied up with leaders, institutions and political parties. Mine was, too. The cost is enormous and the options are often untenable. And so there we are. Having to cast ourselves on the mercy of God. Not for a third way. But as THE ONLY WAY. The only truth. The only life. I’ve made multiple errors in judgment. Jumped too quickly to condemn. Spoken wrongly. Remained silent wrongly and confusingly. I never get it completely together. But what I will tell you is that I believe we are meant first and foremost to call out our own house, our own side, and our own identity group for its mind-boggling hypocrisy. These were my people. Evangelicals. Conservatives. Claim what you will but I know who I am: I am pro life from conception to casket. I am pro small government. I am pro godliness and the pursuit of a holy life. I am pro marriage and family and pro-those God calls to remain single and sanctified and I’m deeply thankful for them. I am pro traditional sexual ethics. I am pro love of God and love of neighbor and the dignity of every person as an image bearer of Christ. I am pro love all. I am pro church. I believe in the community of the saints. I am pro Bible study to the death and believe the aim of all discipleship is to know and love and follow and emulate Jesus Christ. I am pro gospel. Dear God in heaven, I am pro gospel. I believe there is one name by whom we must be saved. Jesus. What I am not is pro Trump. Wasn’t pro Clinton. Wasn’t pro Biden. But those were not the candidates many in the world that I loved so much were cheering on. I accept that Donald Trump is my president. I pray for him on a regular basis. I’m a law abiding citizen and pay my taxes. But I believe Trump fosters something in people that makes them lose their way.
