@Joe_Gerth @AndySwan Voting is an active, not passive, function, as much as Democrats dismay with their dead voters remaining on the rolls. Maybe it’s time for a purge and it’s on our citizens to actively check our registered status. I do it anyway every year

@bfolson18 @AndySwan The law requires states to purge people from the rolls and doesn't require those people be notified. That means people will show up at the polls and will learn they've been purged and will have no way to prove they were wrongly purged.

@Joe_Gerth @AndySwan You only have to prove who you are when you register to vote. This is hardly a tremendous inconvenience to someone who feels a civic duty to vote. If voting was mandatory (like taxes) maybe you have an argument

@AndySwan A logical fallacy underpins your entire argument here. Illegal voting by non-citizens is not a widespread programs. Dems oppose the law Republicans are pushing not because it will make it difficult for immigrants to vote, but because it will likely make it difficult for citizens.

The “ai data centers are using all the water” thing was very radicalizing. I saw smart people, respected people, scientists- echo this back. You can not like data centers near you. You can complain they make electricity prices rise… But the water point is a total hoax. Every data center on earth uses less water than American golf courses. And the water isn’t polluted, it isn’t destroyed. It’s a little warm. IT COULD STILL BE USED ON THE GOLF COURSES IF YOU WANT. Your local McDonald’s is using more water than a data center. It’s just shocking how unreal and fake that narrative is. Radicalizing.

If you weren't a nitwit, you might know that organophosphate pesticides are a widely used, safe and effective way to control pests, particularly in agriculture. There is no example of harm caused by legal use of organophosphate pesticides.

A group can be biased and still end up being right. But journalists especially (and all capable men) should be skeptical when anything is government driven. Joe shows no signs of skepticism.
