@bgradecitizen And he is keeping his promise. 22 new AIIMS, 88% increase in medical colleges, started Ayushman Bharat which is world's largest health assurance scheme. The number of govt hospitals and PHCs has also increased. Many relatives can't afford hotels, hence they stay in hospitals.

@RoshanKrRaii Our govt hospitals have always been like this. You guys would be shameless to point this out, because your party is largely responsible for this. Modi is at least working to repair the situation by creating better system (like Ayushman Bharat), but you guys left 65 yrs mess.

India ranks 176 (& not 4) out of 216 on income inequality.

Looks like earlier they were flying with minimal checks, ‘chalta hai’ attitude but are not taking risks anymore. So the same flight with same number of tech issues would have been airborne a few weeks ago but someone has put their foot down finally.
Hope they improve their baseline safety and maintenance and if that means cancelling most flights for the next few months, totally a financial risk worth taking.

South Korean authorities are investigating a China Airlines flight that landed on the wrong runway at Gimhae International Airport in Busan, South Korea, Thursday evening.
Flight CI186, a Boeing 737-800, touched down on runway 18L instead of the assigned 18R.
China Airlines confirmed that one of its flights failed to follow air traffic control instructions in Busan and has launched an internal investigation.
The incident delayed China Airlines flight CI187's return from Busan to Taiwan to Friday due to the airport's curfew. The airline said all passengers received accommodations and that a new cabin crew was assigned for the rescheduled flight.

A sobering look at who gets to speak on aviation in Indian media:
1.Retired airline pilots and military officers — many of whom seem to be navigating a midlife crisis, clinging to relevance by peddling outdated expertise in a rapidly evolving industry.
2.Any white man with an American accent — who, as long as he’s in a uniform, is treated as gospel even when spouting pure drivel.
3.Former cabin crew and journalists — who mistakenly equate thousands of hours in the cabin with technical authority on avionics, emergency protocols, and aerodynamics.
4.Politicians — career masters of rhetoric, offering confident commentary on topics they clearly do not understand.
5.Everyone else, apparently — including my tailor Ramu, barber Venkat, and driver Suraj — who at least, unlike the rest, don’t pretend to be experts.
Meanwhile, the real aviation professionals are the conscientious whistleblowers who raised red flags and were silenced, and the two pilots who died in the cockpit fighting to the very end — are denied the dignity, justice, and recognition they deserve.
The focus now must shift to justice for the dead and accountability for those hiding behind corporate PR campaigns, institutional silence, and moral decay.
