@amoy2j @Liberal_India1 @Adani_Elec_Mum Definately, no electricity distributor can charge wheeling charges to their own retail consumers. Wheeling charges are applicable only in open access transactions. I am consumer of MSEDCL, people who are consumers of BEST has taken this issue in APTEL court.

@bhatmandar26 @Liberal_India1 @Adani_Elec_Mum wheeling charges are almost 1/3 of the total bill amount for me. Manadar sir is talking about MSEDCL in the video. But I guess this concern is applicable for all the electricity providers across Maharashtra. Can you elaborate?

@manojgavali @Liberal_India1 Sure, No power distribution company can collect wheeling charges from their own retail consumers. Wheeling charges are applicable for open access transactions only. People can raise the issue in MERC. If MERC will not give justice then people can go to APTEL court or High court.

@bhatmandar26 @Liberal_India1 Mandar sir, thanks for raising important issue. I can see similar charges on my adani bill and I think they are charging it units consumption exceeds some unit threshold. Can you pls confirm to which forum/court you have raised this issue and case number for public awareness.
