I'm not sure there's a sport where the excitement wanes faster from opening day until the playoffs start 6+ mos later than MLB

I know I'm going to sound like a Boomer, but I am so glad MLB season begins tonight. The last 5-7 years with the transfer portal and NIL essentially destroyed everything I liked about college sports. Never really cared for the NFL & I don' t like the new-school NBA style.

The best thing about Opening Day is never the game on the day itself. It's the knowledge that it starts the glorious seven-month long streak of baseball being on TV damn near every single day.
No matter what life throws at you any given day, you know what's coming at 7 PM. It centers you. It stabilizes you. It's beautiful. We're so lucky. It's gonna go fast. Soak it all in.

Airing Opening Day baseball exclusively on Netflix is just the latest example of how much @MLB hates its fans. If you want people to watch baseball, stop making it so difficult, expensive, and complicated to do so.
