Just posted: My latest piece in @NonzeroNews. nonzero.org/p/iran-and-the…

Great article. Not “great“ like insightful, or thoughtful… But great like scales fell from my eyes. I’m saving the rest for later to savor your take on Anthropic and its CEO, etc.
A book I’d like to see is how the United States has fallen so far and so fast from its pinnacle in the Marshall plan to now— and suggestions for how to fix it— from the author of Non-Zero.

I think you’re confusing the current dysfunction in America, and the forces causing it. The super wealthy have captured the executive, the legislature, and the courts. And they’re engaging in a massive transfer of power and wealth to themselves —and from the rest of us.
This epoch isn’t like the 30’s in Germany or USSR, it’s like the United States in the 1890s and the Robber Barons who also bought vast power to accelerate their wealth accumulation and hold down the rest.
The cure, if it happens, and I think it will, it has to come from “the people“ to finally discover their latent power and figure out how to exercise it with a new generation of politicians—which seems to have possibly started with people like James Tararico and Zohran Mamdani.

The increasing political polarization we’re seeing today isn’t anything new. It’s similar to what we saw in the 1930s, and it’s even something Plato wrote about a couple thousand years ago.
In democracies, people vote for their interests. And since people generally want more, politicians want to give it to them — and are willing to go into debt to make that happen.
Ultimately, things reach a breaking point where discipline is needed. People want somebody to get control of the government and make it work well.
But there are two versions as to who that somebody is.
In the 1930s, this led to the rise of fascism (for people who wanted a strong leader to lead a command economy) and communism (for people who wanted to redistribute opportunities).
Inevitably, these two clashing visions lead to fights. @ChrisWillx

@mehdirhasan Ha ha ha ha! Very interesting, measured discussion. Topped off with an advertisement to buy gold! Hilarious.

I am no fan of Kelly or Greene but this conversation is definitely worth a listen.

The biggest divide in our politics is not left vs right — it’s top vs bottom. Billionaires are dividing us because our unity is a threat to their wealth and power. I went on @joerogan’s show to bridge the divide and build a coalition big enough to take power back.

Dems and other resisters: the time to go on and on about how shocking Trump and MAGA are--it's a broken record. Stop with the whining. Start fighting back with the objective of removing and fully punishing the law breakers for what they're doing.
It's going to be a hard road, but nothing as hard as Washington and the Founders faced in 1776 in removing their king.

Dammit, why are Netanyahu, Trump, and now Ted Cruz making me like Tucker Carlson???
This is EXCELLENT interviewing. If only more US interviewers asked pro-war politicians questions like this.

Ted Cruz on Iran. Full interview tomorrow.

It was my honor to be at the airport in Dublin this morning to welcome the great Palestinian journalist @AbubakerAbedW from Gaza. The world owes him and his colleagues in Gaza a debt it can never repay. His spirit is unbreakable.

WATCH: “You’re walking right into the trap.”
@karaswisher admonishes the media for continuing to say Elon/DOGE ‘may have a point’ that cuts should be made — as though any of this is being done in good faith, when it obviously isn’t 🎯
