@PolarPiraffe You are missing that you need like 50 wins to even be on the leaderboard. I alone account for 50 accounts that would be in the T500 except not a single one of them has hit 50 wins.

3 regions (4500 t500 spots world)
people who drop in and out of t500 will still say t500

Statistics do not care about your ego, and statistics will say that skill level in almost any unphysically restrained domain is not a bell curve, but a power law. Please read Taleb's literature on this. Therefore, actual skill level overlaid on top of your bell curve looks like this. Notice how being at the cutoff of "top 5%" makes you barely better than the median in absolute skill level. Good isn't a really well defined term, but you can see how it is completely valid to argue that you'd probably have to be top 0.1% or higher to even be considered good even by relative standards.

You really don't know how to do anything even remotely correctly UNTIL you get to Masters. When you get there, you can begin to learn how the game should be played.

This can actually be easily explained. SR is spread out into a bell curve, but like any real world skill, skill level is actually a power law distribution. This means the player ranked at top 5% is closer in skill level to the bottom 1% than he is to the top 0.1%. Most people think of "good" as referring to absolute skill rather than rank which is forced into a bell curve.

The guy I gave it to has over 2000 hrs of kovaaks he just sucks at overwatch. He just happened to be vsing a really bad top 500 player for multiple games in a row coupled with actually not having bad aim, and yeah he brought it to a new peak. I did neglect to mention he proceeded to derank to plat over the next 2 seasons and hundreds of games on that account.

@bingweiba @Winstonplayer1 yea no shot. it took me nearly 1k hours of aim training and 400 hours of in-game practice to go from plat to masters 1 tricking soldier. I played on plat on an alt a month ago and I got banned after a few games they didn't tell me the reason but i was fucking Thanos there

Where's the impressive/clippable part about this? It doesn't look any different from a fast nanoblade from 2018. Blades in general are barely clippable anymore. Only consecutive dash +right click combos are clippable, but even then it's like you've seen one you've seem them all. In fact, the most impressive genji clips nowadays are insane left click aim, but you almost never see clips of that these days since it's so difficult and people just right click crutch at those close ranges.

@sadkijhadskhj @Matty_OW the only no recoil/camera shake long range pure tracking primary in the game, the downside is movement becomes pretty one dimensional since there's not much point having good dodging if any movement makes u take a million damage anyway. the best hero to judge a players raw aim.

@visakanv idk 10 years ago before anyone actually trained their typing I was doing 180+wpm average (no training) and that meant i was the fastest in every community. Today I can clock 200wpm+, but looking at the state of the internet I probably get beaten by any average typing enthusiast.

i have a ~140wpm typing speed, which often impresses people who aren't very online. like, all my life i was basically the fastest typer in any room i was in. once i posted a link to a typing speed game on here and like 5 people beat my ass immediately

Two variants of widow clips
- Multi-hs clips
- Insane flick clips
Anyone who plays widow for long enough are going to get multi-hs clips that make them look like ANS. Insane flick clips are even less impressive since there's more RNG involved. The very few variants of clippable widow clips are basically tracer blink/recall prediction crosshair placement or widow 5k, but 99% of widow clips you see are not those.
The same cannot be said about the heroes in S tier, where you cannot simply playcount your way into impressive clips. Notice how not a single one of them have oneshots.

If you are dying to a hanzo there is like a 20% chance you just got unlucky but there's also an 80% chance you just got outskilled. You cannot be saying this when heroes like sojourn or widow exist.
