Excellencies,
On behalf of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), I wish to convey our sincere appreciation to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations for featuring the name of our Secretary General on the official ECOSOC platform.
This acknowledgment holds special significance for us, as it coincides with the fourth consecutive year of CNRI’s recognition by the United Nations through Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC. Such continued recognition is both an honour and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to inclusive development, grassroots empowerment, and the advancement of the UN’s economic, social, and sustainable development objectives.
We deeply value ECOSOC’s role in providing civil society organizations a meaningful space within the multilateral system, enabling constructive engagement, policy dialogue, and collaboration in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
CNRI remains committed to contributing responsibly, knowledgeably, and proactively to ECOSOC processes and UN-led initiatives, particularly in areas concerning rural development, livelihoods, cooperative economics, and social equity.
Please accept our renewed expression of gratitude and our assurance of continued cooperation with the United Nations system.
With highest consideration and respect,
Yours sincerely,
Binod Anand
