Hi. I'm trying to get an idea of how new genetics is as a field of study in India. Do you know ppl who worked in genetics a long time ago? How long ago & what kind of stuff did they study?

Hear this please! I was fortunate to live on campus when my babies were breastfeeding. But such facilities are absent in most Indian institutions. Maternity leave is a generous 6 months which is super. But social pressure for moms to not work till baby is 1 yr is enormous
Beti Asnake, MS, MD@AsnakeBeti

Lactation in academia for those who don’t know… 1. Most women who are exclusively breastfeeding need to pump every 3-4hrs 2. If we miss a pump session or delay it, we get engorgement. Basically the milk backs up into the breast and we can start leaking it’s quite painful.
