The interactive Raptor Persecution Map Hub was updated. Now covering 12 years of confirmed raptor persecution incidents, it shows more clearly than ever where the UK blackspots are. It helped show that 2018 was the worst year in England in a decade.

Pigeon fancier fined: In Feb., Yovanis Cruz, who keeps racing pigeons, pleaded guilty to killing a protected sparrowhawk in his neighbour’s garden using a catapult. The incident took place in December and was captured by his neighbour’s CCTV camera. Cruz was fined just over £800

He & his sister fell from a collapsed nest. After a check over he was released, ringed and found in Belper two years later where until a few days ago he was the breeding male @RapBiol @HamishRS
