Let me put the record straight in plain English. We had no plans at all to visit this venue. Rob was taking us on a tour of the constituency to places which meant something to him. He took us to an old factory site next to the canal to start the tour. This was a factory where Rob used to work ( if you're not familiar with the term 'work' it's something working class people do day in day out and it involves getting your hands dirty). As we drove around he decided to take us to a fishing lake where he has fished. Once there we saw a cafe and decided to have a cuppa and use the toilet. I am confused as to why the lady sent the letter as she sat with us talking to us all about the cafe and the challenges it faces. She then asked for a selfie with Rob and Nigel and thanked us for the visit. We then left. On entering the car park I came across a very shaken looking @christiancalgie who I believe had been subject to a torrent of verbal abuse, some of it by yourself. We know there is a lot of pressure on yourself to become Labour leader but this type of gutter politics has no place in the UK. The cafe is a great place doing great work and as a supporter of these types of establishments I know full well about the financial challenges they face and the conversations these establishments have with politicians to secure funding. It now makes me wonder why this letter has been sent and I just hope this cafe is not being taken advantage for political gain.

I have warned repeatedly over many years about election fraud and always been ignored. The Gorton & Denton by-election was a disgrace, but at last there have been some arrests in Greater Manchester.

@MichelleBeckett Their entitlement is off the charts. Why should others have to slow down for them if they are utterly unprepared. It has yet to dawn on these lemmings how much they have been manipulated by Reform LTD who just enjoy the spectacle and will be more than happy to leave them to it.

My daughter was elected as a city councillor when she was 18, the youngest in the country at the time. (11 years ago) She worked her butt off beforehand (and afterwards) to ensure she knew all there is to know about how local government works. She was brilliant and did some important work. She knew all this backwards before she got in the chamber. This is outrageous incompetence. I wouldn’t dream of voting Reform, but this should give pause to anyone remotely considering it.

So the majority of people who voted for Brexit were the affluent "gin and Jag" home counties gammons and not the "left behind" northerners. Yet another example of the patronising attitudes towards people from the north of England, painting us all as thick racists.

These people are in charge of vital services like children in care, adult social services, schools & housing. As we say in London, not fit to run a whelk stall.
