It is deeply concerning that a media professional would circulate content bearing the identity of an organisation without first verifying its authenticity. Such actions undermine the principles of responsible journalism, erode public trust, and contribute to the spread of misinformation. The use of our official logo on a fabricated graphic constitutes a serious misrepresentation capable of misleading members of the public and causing reputational harm to our organisation. We reject the content in its entirety and dissociate ourselves completely from it. We therefore call on Rufai Oseni to immediately remove the fraudulent graphic from all platforms under his control and issue a public retraction and apology for disseminating unverified and misleading information. Failure to take corrective action will leave us with no option but to explore all legal remedies available under the law, including actions relating to intellectual property infringement, defamation, and the dissemination of false information.
