We built Zap for the billions of people who haven’t yet been onboarded to crypto The people who just want to download an app, create an account, and buy their first coin without friction or hassle From sign up to completing your first buy takes less than 30 seconds on Zap That's nearly 100x faster than traditional exchanges and 10x faster than other self-custody wallets We built a bunch of custom tech that works invisibly in the background to abstract away all of the complexity from users There are no gas tokens to manage, seed phrases to store, nor KYC flows to stumble through Just a simple experience that works for everyone We take care of the rest Trading on Zap feels intuitive not intimidating You can swipe-to-trade on any coin Swipe right to buy $5 Swipe left to sell $5 Ever since we started testing this feature internally I’ve become addicted to it and hope you'll love it as much as I do But UX wasn't the only thing we set out to fix Many of you know I've spent the past two years trying to get $DOG listed on tier-1 exchanges only to get rejected over and over because we had a fair launch and refuse to pay listing fees $DOG had a billion dollar market cap, was on the homepage of CoinMarketCap, and couldn’t get listed Meanwhile I watched as ~$10M market cap scammy insider memecoins that no one had ever heard of were getting listed on the largest exchanges in the world This predatory model of listing fees creates a cycle of poorly distributed tokens that eventually rug when insiders dump on the users of the very exchanges that listed them Listing decisions should be based on merit not secret deals made behind closed doors I felt powerless having to beg these massive exchanges to list $DOG So I built my own crypto exchange platform It has one rule Zap will never charge for a listing And the first coin that Zap will list which is live for trading starting now is $DOG I might sound insane trying to take on the largest crypto exchanges in the world but someone has to do something I refuse to believe that the future of crypto is centralized exchanges extorting projects for ~20% of their supply while ignoring the most fair and decentralized communities Many of you have been asking "What is Zap?"
