I hope they don't don't abandon the speaker inside the controller for the PS5. I really like when some games use this well. Infamous Second Son uses this so well it makes me feel like I am actually shaking a spray can when doing the graffiti. Such a nifty little feature.

It blends with the horror genre quite alright because it empowers the atmosphere. Limited resources harbor anxiety, so does horror. But it’s not wrong, survival is associated with Horror quite regularly.

Playing with the atmosphere is key. And Horror RPGs... Corpse Party, probably? Bloodborne? Castlevania is not scary, for example.

Sorry sundays are crazy so, in my opnion I like a good jumpscare. I remember playing code veronica and being scared as all hell. And in that game the music kind of warns you but ahha still works on me. No problem with fetch quests. I also love rpg’s the mix is nice.

He claimed to have everything handled... the game was atrocious. To this day, he believes he’s a survival horror savant making Slender clones with different monsters that are not even scary and collectibles with no actual use...

Just like fetchquests on RPGs. Speaking of which, the “survival” part is only “knowing where to run to or from”. It’s like sandbox game design trying to make a difference with props instead of engaging gameplay.

Take a look at the indie survival horror scene: Most games are key/artifact fetch quests to escape/kill/shutdown a forest/house/facility while avoiding/trapping a monster/mutant/entity. It’s like slender all over again...
