Based on what I’m seeing from the touts, it looks like this week will be the type of major where you need to drive it long and straight, hit precise iron shots, have a solid short game, and make putts

@ProGolfCritic @PGATOUR I think the featured groups do a decent job but they definitely need to cover more players (ie doing 2 or 3 featured groups in the same coverage) Main feed is always decent by Sunday afternoon but no doubt coverage could be better. What’s your recommendation

@blake_18389 @PGATOUR Why does it matter when you cant watch the players you want to see unless you’re onsite. Thats not a reason to WATCH

As long as LIV is breathing, it’s a superior product to the @PGATOUR. Actually even not breathing it’s better. 😂 🇺🇸 golf fans don’t care about being entertained. They will watch whatever golf is on the traditional networks like going to your local IHOP just bc other ppl go. No one has made a compelling argument for 4 years outside of fake meritocracy & tradition which are both completely made up constructs. Prove me wrong. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Brad Ganas@GanasBrad

@ProGolfCritic LIV could become a par 3 contest and it would STILL have a superior broadcast and product to the PGAT. The corrupt owgr will continue to be the weapon of choice for the monopoly.

@ProGolfCritic @acordweather @PGATOUR @livgolf_league I just don’t think it’s an issue. Just have less “signature events” and improve the scheduling around majors. They’ll still put up the best field for pebble beach pro am genesis the players FedEx cup and likely either the travelers or memorial. So they just don’t need any others.

@UsedGolfFacts @PattyMcGoo17 To be fair if he would’ve left the tour it would’ve been done for. Also there’s just too many signature events now. And he’s the biggest name in golf since tiger….. so he’s a steward of the game

@PattyMcGoo17 Totally fair. Just don’t like that he pretends like he’s some steward of the game that cares about “saving” the Tour. He’s not and he isn’t.

Rory was one of the loudest voices pushing to make Signature Events mandatory. The whole idea was that these big name fields and big purses were essential to “saving” the PGA Tour. Now that he’s finally broken his decade-long drought, the tune has changed. Funny how that works.
Ryan Barath 🏌️‍♂️@RDSBarath

The man has paid his dues on tour and as much as the PGA Tour doesn’t like it, this is the reality when the Majors are the only real priority.

It always amazes me the variability in a golfer’s game. What’s the best and worst score you’ve shot so far in 2026?

@therealmcnair Will the Washington shorts be bigger in the quads than duck head chino shorts? I can’t find any 100 percent cotton that aren’t too tight but the duck head ones are close (they are 97 percent cotton and 3 percent fake stretchy material I think)

Quick note on the spring release: We don’t have a massive amount of inventory in production, that’s intentional. I’d rather keep things tight and get it right than overextend and miss on quality. All items are currently in production. We’re quoting an estimated 6-week shipping timeline. That’s an estimate, but we’re actively working through everything now and not rushing the process. If this first run goes well, we’ll follow it up with a second tranche shortly after, just a few weeks behind. Really appreciate the support. We’ll keep building this the right way and making each release bigger as we go.

@BrianKirschner_ I can’t complain as Cam benefitted from it too, but the top guys in thursday pm wave got screwed. Then Saturday was wayyy too soft. Again, Cam got the benefit too so no bitching from me, but conspiracy theorists saying the course was set up for Rory are entirely correct.

Masters notes: 1. Terrible year for Augusta National. Simply put, they LACC’d themselves. If you recall the 2023 US Open, the USGA botched the set up at the start, forcing them to be reactive day to day. They finally got it right, but not until after the damage was done. This Thursday Augusta was too firm and fast from the start. Some people may like that, but that’s not the Masters. ANGC got reactive and never really was able to get back on track. Too inconsistent day to day in a week where weather was not a factor. 2. Worst final round of Masters in a long time. Congrats to Rory, but he was simply the least bad of the top guys. The shot at 12 was fantastic, but he was gettable after that. But no one played well to get him. 3. That said, wow Rory. Last year was more dramatic and historic, but this week convinced me that when all is said and done, Rory will be the 3rd best player of the modern era. 4. I 100% believe had Cam Young played Houston he would have won the Masters. Had no consistency this week. Particularly putting. Cam struggled putting to start the year. By the time API rolled around he had gotten locked in. Then of course it was outstanding as he won the Players. Taking 3 weeks off reset it to some extent. Not having recent tournament reps showed as he never could get locked in thurs/fri. Saturday was great, but then Sunday had lost it again. That’s what a guy playing into form does. Not sure why he backed out of Houston, but it cost him. 5. This is not me being anti-LIV, but my god did they do their guys a horrific disservice this year with their schedule in terms of having them ready for the Masters. That said, means I think it was a tosser, and Rahm & Bryson will be heard from in the other 3 majors.

@Zigmanfreud @Connor_Raeside You say that’s impossible… if I can pull stays where Rory beat people using similar numbers for fairways hit will you retract your argument? If so buckle up🤣🤣🤣 hands down the worst argument I’ve ever heard. Stats incoming if you try to say anything

@Connor_Raeside That’s not a legitimate way of looking at it. Rory beat Scottie by 9 shots in Friday. Scottie hit 79% of the fairways. Rory hit 57%. That’s impossible is they don’t drench the course that morning.

Rory earned his victory, but what Scottie did was extraordinary, and a lesser man would have legitimately whined by how he got screwed… -No one has ever made fewer bogies (0 doubles) & not won the Masters -ANGC watering on Friday determined the winner by giving early/late tee times (Rory) a huge advantage -Scottie had to play his final 9 with a guy who went 8 over par in 2 holes!

Sorry but this is one of the most undeserved Masters wins in history… Rory literally played Augusta every day for a month straight before the tournament. How is this allowed by the USGA?

@JustinPickerel The context is clear. I'm not hiding anything. Players have skipped tournaments prior to The Masters for years. That's not anything new. Never heard a player being provided this amount of access to Augusta like this before, though. That's the point.

Rory McIlroy admitted he had an unfair advantage “this place feels like my home course. I haven't played anywhere else in the last 2 or 3 weeks... I felt prepared that wherever I hit it on the golf course, I sort of know what to do. I know where to miss.”

Rewatched the back 9 of last year’s @TheMasters earlier. That really was some crazy ish. What’s gonna be even crazier is when Rory has to put the green jacket on one of his nemeses later this year. That just feels inevitable & the only fitting way to close out his 🏆 year. 😎
