@Watchman_motto As I age, climbing stairs is getting to be an issue. Can your in-laws live independently on the main floor without needing the loft floor? Could be an issue soon.

We built an in-laws house on our property in the woods behind the barn. Very similar to the one pictured. My parents live there currently. I have some thoughts. It’s very difficult to handle elderly parents. Especially those of the boomer generation. Of course all of us have to handle the concept of our own death and nobody wants to die. I think boomers are especially avoidant of this topic and from my experience will do anything to avoid even acknowledging that they will someday pass away. But you really don’t have a lot of options for when your parents are old. Do you put them in a home? That’s mad expensive and those places are miserable. Do you let them wither away in their own home - in my case a 1hr commute? How does that work when they need help? If you have the means, I think this kind of thing is the best option. They get To live somewhere rent free which helps with their finances. You’re close by if they need help. And the grandkids can visit as often as they want. All other struggles aside.

@NGB2020 @Watchman_motto And the smaller (kids) bedrooms are away from the entertaining space (kitchen/living) so you can put them in bed and continue your night without worrying about light sleepers

@NGB2020 @Watchman_motto The best part imo is the bathroom buffer between bedrooms. Bedrooms with shared walls is problematic for differing sleep schedules

The thing about these old homes is that the floor plan is always genius. You may think that you can come up with a better floor plan, but even modern architects have a hard time doing it right. It’s also not intuitive why this is so nice, and many people have a hard time seeing it in their mind’s eye when looking at a print.

This account is stealing my photos along with several others. They are using my photos and accusing me of being a name lane Levin on LinkedIn. I dont have a link in. I have been impersonated before. I am VERIFIED. X HAS MY ID. But for now, he demands that if I want to PROVE MYSELF (he stole my photos) , I take a selfie with the writing on my face that I defend pedophiles. There is a very coordinated effort on X right now (and I dont say this lightly because people can just throw that out there) against me. Yesterday, somebody openly posted about wanting to bl*w my head off that was pinned to their profile since January. This is straight-up harassment and I am sick of my haters being able to still see my account even when blocked. This dude is fixing to be blocked. But they still harass. They can still quote post or somebody is that I can't see. I can still show up, and they can search me. See my posts. What the f*ck happened to out of sight out of mind? They have taken my photos and used them in sexual perversions and are now using AI to post obese pictures of me on wearing oxygen. This is bullshit. I refuse to be run off the internet. We need better protections on X. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Once I leave America I’m not coming back. I now know I can surf in Europe so I’m not leaving much behind. My youngest brother who’s studying to be an engineer will join me. I do hope my other brother switches to infrastructure engineering, Ukraine/EU will need that.

there’s a guy on my timeline i feel bad for because nobody interacts with his tweets. every now and then i’ll notice one, check back later, and it’s gone. like he quietly deleted it after realizing nobody engaged with it. today i decided i should be his only supporter and turn on notifications for him so at least one person likes his tweets. i pulled up his profile and the edit profile button popped up. weird
