One thing I'll give Oyedepo is consistency. Whether you agree with him or not, his position has remained largely the same. He has never seemed afraid to criticize government policies he believes are wrong. Adeboye, on the other hand, was quite vocal during Jonathan's administration when the challenges Nigeria faced were nowhere near what many Nigerians are experiencing today. Since Buhari's government and now under Tinubu, that same public criticism seems to have disappeared. Maybe there are reasons for that. Maybe there aren't. But people are not wrong for noticing the difference and asking questions. If pastors can speak when one government is in power, they should be able to speak when another government is in power too. Truth should not depend on who occupies Aso Rock.
