Earlier today, I sat in on the @TelcoinTAO Platform & Treasury bi-weekly council meeting to listen in and see what updates came out of it. One quick takeaway: - Watch the MNOs and their subscriber base While listening, I vibe coded an interactive globe highlighting key remittance corridors and countries. It shows the leading telecom in each market (with market share), remittance inflows / outflows with percent of GDP, subscriber base size, and pulls most of its data from the @WorldBankGroup. It also includes an indicator showing whether remittances in a region are currently disrupted. #Telfam, should we make it live and let everyone try it out?

Most common IRS crypto audit triggers: 1099-DA mismatches vs your Form 8949 reporting (biggest new one for 2025+ txns). Incorrectly answering "No" to the digital asset question on Form 1040. Zero or missing cost basis on sales. Unreported crypto-to-crypto trades, staking/mining/airdrop income. Poor records on wallet transfers or DeFi activity. Keep full transaction histories—IRS matching is ramping up fast.

The IRS is using a new form in crypto audits and it’s a perjury TRAP. The “Historical Digital Asset Form” is the most obtrusive and over broad form I’ve EVER seen in a crypto audit. It lists 100+ exchanges and wallets with a yes/no check box. IRS demands you to list the date first used and usernames and emails for your accounts. Fill it out wrong or miss something? You could be committing perjury. Forget an exchange? The IRS could say it’s fraud. List everything? Now the IRS knows where to fish. The IRS is increasing audits on crypto investors. Especially with Form 1099-DA being sent to the IRS. If you received this form, contact an attorney to discuss your options. Don’t fall into a TRAP.

In IRS crypto audits, they issue detailed Form 4564 Information Document Requests (IDRs) requiring: - Full lists of all exchanges, wallets, P2P platforms (domestic/foreign) used - Associated usernames, emails, account numbers, blockchain addresses - Transaction histories, dates of first use/activity, etc. These are under penalties of perjury. Missing info or errors can lead to fraud claims or expanded audits. 1099-DA reporting (starting 2025 txns) is ramping up mismatches and audits. If received, get a crypto tax attorney ASAP—don't DIY.
