@JohnB @bascule this is a good place to start, but it's only for bitcoin: digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy… there are other estimates out there for ethereum, monero, & other PoW-based blockchains, but i can't seem to locate them at the moment. they are not as comprehensive as the bitcoin analysis though.
