joining the bd team at @blockwee thanks @lets_ash for the opportunity If anyone tells you @blockwee is just a video production company, they've got it wrong - let me explain. Through all the events I've organised, I've had the opportunity to step into every role and take ownership of each one. And one thing that never changes: Capturing what actually happened at an event, and making a social impact during & beyond the days, is always the task that gets underestimated the most. Few main problems here: - Video teams that have no idea how events work Which means organisers end up briefing everything, every activation, every moment that needs to be captured. That's a massive task on its own. - Missing moments in real time A quick clip, a candid photo, an announcement going up while the energy is still there. You don't want a team handing you content after it's all over. - Slow turnaround on the final output Aftermovies that drop within 48 hours of an event consistently do better. But pulling that off without cutting on quality is where most teams fall short. and there's more to list...... @blockwee instead of solving, owns up the entire content game, delivering the best work while you, as the organiser, focus on keeping the event running smoothly. For all the organisers and brands worried about event cinematography, let @blockwee handle it end to end.

i saw this post right now, and it got me thinking about how every brand in tech is chasing attention right now. almost none of them are building trust. those are not the same race, and they do not end in the same place. i've spent this week in SF watching it up close. the conversations are the same everywhere you go. everyone wants to know how to go viral. almost no one is asking what they want to be known for in three years. attention is fast. a good hook, a well-timed post, a shareable clip. you can buy it, borrow it, pull it from an algorithm for a week. but once the hook is gone, the viewer has nothing holding them, and they move on without a second thought. trust is slow. it comes from having a real point of view that shows up the same way every time, from making something that asks nothing from the viewer except their attention and actually delivers on that ask, over and over, long enough that people start to expect it. building a great product is the first step towards building trust. you gotta keep shipping and listening to your users, everything else will follow along.

sure you can throw 50K USD per month to agencies to get you inorganic views with questionable conversions but hitting millions of views organically is a different high shoutout to the whole team of @heyclicky for crafting an insanely good product to begin with
