@allengilmer @davidrontal @willrayvalentin Shhhhhh we are very focused on the vertical space and the margins are still there. The problem for producers is the cost calculation will not marginally change around the vertical space because the big OFS players have all but abandoned it and the guys who know it retired.

I don’t doubt it. I just think we need a reinvention of vertical well drilling. There is NOT a robust OFS sector outside the few unconventional areas. It has bifurcated into two Seperate industries… an increasingly efficient unconventional industry with frac costs down to 30k per stage and awe inspiring ballet log supply chain logistics and amazing wells being drilled very precisely that were only a fever dream a few years ago. It’s the plain old south Texas or north Texas well that is 3X the nominal cost from 25 years ago.

We really need to bring the cost of drilling down.

@davidrontal @willrayvalentin @allengilmer Being boots on the ground at an OFS outfit that is well run fiscally I can 100% tell you that is the truth. Operators have cash flowed at low prices bathed in OFS blood.

@willrayvalentin @allengilmer Service companies would say that operators have beaten out all of their margin over the last few years and it’s their turn to eat. Not saying I agree with that but that is what I’m hearing on the ground.
