🚨ADNOC is doubling its Hormuz bypass capacity. A 2nd West-East pipeline to Fujairah. Operational 2027. Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince just directed ADNOC to accelerate delivery of the new West-East Pipeline currently under construction and expected operational in 2027. The pipeline doubles ADNOC's export capacity through Fujairah, the UAE's Indian Ocean terminal that sits entirely outside the Strait of Hormuz. The existing pipeline already moves 1.5–1.8 mb/d. The new one doubles that. Why Fujairah matters? Fujairah is the UAE's answer to Hormuz dependency a direct pipeline route from Abu Dhabi's oilfields to the Gulf of Oman, bypassing the strait entirely. During the current conflict, it has been one of the only reliable export routes for UAE crude. The existing capacity was never enough. Abu Dhabi is now fixing that permanently. ⚠️The UAE left OPEC on May 1st. It secretly struck Iranian targets during the conflict. It's now accelerating infrastructure designed to make Hormuz irrelevant to its own export model. This is not a country planning for Hormuz to reopen and things to go back to normal. Saudi Arabia has the East-West pipeline to Yanbu. The UAE is doubling its capacity at Fujairah. The Gulf's 2 largest producers are both building permanent Hormuz bypasses simultaneously. The strait's leverage over global oil markets is being systematically engineered away one pipeline at a time.
