@stephenRB4 Commodore VIC20 also had the tape drive but a year later the C64 came out and didn't appreciate what I had. But I did like the low level peek and pokes I could do.

My first computer was a Sinclair Spectrum, where you used a tape recorder to load games and hoped for the best they didn’t get chewed up. What was your first computer?

@Chesschick01 born in the 70's. Was a late reader because no one knew how to deal with my dyslexia, but once I did, I read all of the sci fi books in my local library in three years. That was well over 100 books. I read roughly 30 to 50 books a year now.

Rather embarrassed, I had an AI look over my current story and it showed me how baldy I am writing. I know I am not really into this particular one but I am wondering how bad my other stories for this book are?

@davepl1968 To the best Windows was Win2k and after XP things seemed to go down hill. Been running Linux since mid 90's Stopped using Win when it stopped supporting 2k. Stopped w/Mac since Panther. Favorite OS is BeOS though. Too bad not enough apps.

I'm too close to this problem to have a valid opinion, likely, but... I never treated operating systems as religions or clubs. When I worked at Microsoft, for the first several years I still ran AmigaDOS at home (until NT came out). Today I run a half dozen Linux servers and containers. I do my productivity work on a Mac. And I do most of my coding on a Windows machine. I also own a chainsaw, a soldering iron, and a torque wrench. The right tool for the right job. And stay out of comp.sys.advocacy.coleco_adam!

I despised Microsoft so much growing up. It was part of my core identity. I got into Linux largely because I hated Microsoft. And it's so weird, almost 30 years later, that I have a huge amount of respect for Microsoft. I still have my criticisms but I have respect for them.

@travelingflying We lived in an apartment but a tiny theater. The projectionist let me sit in his booth for two weeks to get me away from my mother. A year later my dad found out about stuff going on and was one of the first dads to get full custody.

Did anyone here see Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope in theaters when it came out in 1977?

Just finished reading "The Making of Karateka" by @jmechner the creation process really isn't that different from writing. It was the prize game in computer class. You finish your assignment or get the highest grade and you get Karateka, eventually got to play it on the GS. OMG

@LibertarianG0th Extreme challenge here. But mine would be the "End the Fed" because that should knock down industrial complex and the ABC agencies and with those out life will improve and knock down other insanity.

Dear @chrispavlovski Rumble needs to stop focusing on being a free speech platform. We know. We get it. But in order for Rumble to really take off it needs to be an entertainment brand. Right now it is not. It's an alternative for outcasts. And that's a really great and noble goal. But it is no way a creator or incubator of talent. In order for Rumble to be successful it needs to create it's own stars, from 0-10M subscribers. Hire talent scouts. Grab rising stars on YT before they hit 10k subs. Not just politics. All creators.
