Three years.
I always knew who I was. I just spent two decades fighting to stay alive long enough to prove it.
Everything I am as a creator was always in there. Waiting. Buried under survival mode. Under the weight of just getting through. There was so much inside me I couldn't reach. So much I didn't have the ground beneath my feet to build yet.
And then something shifted. The door opened. I walked through it and didn't stop.
Kept building. Kept making. Kept going back into the work even when the work wasn't ready for me yet. And somewhere in all of it, the vision cleared. The world got real. The voice that came out wasn't one I invented. It was one I finally got to let out.
And then Route 47 happened. And I fell completely in love.
I think about these characters every single day. These stories. This whole strange, broken, beautiful world I keep building piece by piece. They're with me when I wake up. They're with me in every quiet moment. I'm constantly pulling threads, deepening the lore, finding out what this universe is actually trying to say, because it tells you things if you listen close enough.
I have fallen in love with what lives inside Route 47. Genuinely. And that love has changed me as a human being. Call me crazy, but hey... I was already halfway there anyway.
I know what moves me now... what haunts me. I know what I keep coming back to in the dark. That kind of knowing doesn't come from a single moment. It comes from showing up every day and letting the work crack you open.
This has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. And a blessing to meet so many talented and genius creatives.
Three years of becoming.
Two decades in the making.
I'm just now finding out what I'm capable of and just getting warmed up.
Thank you everyone who's been with me on this journey. A lot of big things happened this week that I'm not at liberty to discuss yet but I just feel truly grateful for everything ahead at the end of a long week.

@BLVCKLIGHTai I don't really talk about this much to anyone but as an artist who m akes stuff, especially the narrative stuff, I think we really do tap into universes that are as real as our own, they just exist somewhere else and the only way to bridge there to here is through our imagination

As someone who works in tech and hires and fires based on performance, he would have been fired months ago.

She’s not wrong. Over the past three months, everything has been changing constantly, making it really hard for me to justify my decision to go full-time. Half the time, I don’t even know what to do anymore. I feel like I have to walk on eggshells all the time.
I won’t lie, it feels like we’re constantly living in a climate of fear: the fear of getting banned for no reason, the fear of getting demonetized over a small mistake we didn’t even think about. Support is almost nonexistent when something happens, and the rules keep changing all the time.
And don’t even get me started on how bad the algo has become. I can’t even talk to you about things that matter to me anymore. It’s pointless, the algo doesn’t care unless it’s a “banger.” If I talk about my visit to Mérida yesterday, maybe five of you will reply… It’s completely ridiculous to have almost 300k followers and not be able to speak openly with you.
I’m going to keep going as long as I can, but I really hope X stabilizes these changes and eventually gives us more reach to our own followers, even if the post isn’t meant to go viral.

One problem with X is the constant major changes. Some people like @DrClownPhD (Sorry for using you as an example) are trying to make this their primary source of income in the same way people make a living off YouTube but when there's major random changes to the algorithm with little to no communication and changes like this it makes the platform too unreliable to go all in on when you have bills to pay. I'm nowhere near the point of trying to make X my primary source of income and I would like to one day but when the game and rules change significantly out of the blue I don't see ever being able to rely on it fully. We really need more stability and better communication of algorithm and platform changes, like one issue I'm having right now is I'm seeing lots of posts flagged as adult content when most aren't, it seems totally random and it really kills the reach of the post. Anyways, I'm done yapping.

For this creator payout cycle, we’re experimenting with new tools to identify original authors of content and allocating a portion of revenue to them.
Over the last few months, we've seen incredible work from original creators on X. Nick Shirley uncovered billions of dollars of fraud in hospice care. Charles Curran parodied global events with studio-quality videos. Will Manidis earned acclaim for his insightful articles on technology and AI.
Reposts & commentary will always be a core pillar of X, but our Revenue Sharing program should incentivize original, high-quality content that brings new value to the Timeline. This means rewarding the effort it takes to produce something, not just the poster who helped it travel furthest.
This is how we build a richer Timeline and how X continues to be the most valuable platform in the world. The Revenue Sharing program will continue to evolve to encourage creators to post their best content to X.

I've loved an idea in this scope and see you building out with that same love for route 47. So many of those pieces I got to watch did feel like I was watching something telling me more than just that story, getting to a place beyond conciousness. It's been a glorious ride and can't wait to see more.
