Tomorrow night, @smallest_AI is organizing a 700-person stargazing event at the AGI House on Twin Peaks. Overlooking the city of SF with unbelievable views, we'll have founders, engineers, VCs, and operators from across industries joining us for a night of relaxed conversation and connection. There is only one rule: no business conversations. Keep topics to life - family, friends, hobbies, travel plans, studies. We'll have blankets outside and an ice cream stand inside with juice and light drinks. It's going to be a good time. Thank you to @JuliusYRitter from the AGI house, @ThineAI and @BetterCaptial for bringing this to life. See you tomorrow!

This was my last week at @Cloudflare. I'm incredibly grateful for the freedom I was given to explore ideas and to everyone on the Agents team for being the most cracked and amazing teammates. I'm going to be starting a new company, The Agents Company (theagents.company), focused on open-source personal AI infrastructure with a special focus on a Cognitive Firewall solution, to fight the attention problem. I'll be posting more about it soon!

Where do you keep the dock position on macOS? I don’t know about you guys, but keeping the dock on the left feels right. I love my vertical space.

Can someone please make a nuclear-powered laptop battery, so that we don't need to be close to a socket, all the time. Thanks!

We’re rolling out summaries for Articles now. Just tap the Summarize button if you want to know if it’s worth your time to read it (or if your attention span is 12 seconds).

Still baffled by how much potential our daily conversations hold, especially when parsed and segmented by intelligence. You do not have to remember to start recording; @ThineAI is aware and capturing conversations ambiently. We have paid special attention to how much battery it consumes, how securely your words are transcribed and how seamlessly Thine integrates in your life. Shoot me a DM if you would like to try it out, waitlists are open.

You don't prompt it. You don't explain yourself. It just... knows. That's Thine. Join the Waitlist

MCP sucks honestly It eats too much context window and you have to toggle it on and off and the auth sucks I got sick of Claude in Chrome via MCP and vibe coded a CLI wrapper for Playwright tonight in 30 minutes only for my team to tell me Vercel already did it lmao But it worked 100x better and was like 100LOC as a CLI
Morgan@morganlinton

The cofounder and CTO of Perplexity, @denisyarats just said internally at Perplexity they’re moving away from MCPs and instead using APIs and CLIs 👀

@_ashleypeacock I think you can get some details out on discord, there have been some discussions around how it works. I don’t remember them exactly, but you can piece together details about what matters.

@boarush Yup it’s the loss of “in-memory” state that seems the sticking point as it’s “mid request” vs handling a WS message, it’s “done” with that request

With Workers being billed for CPU usage, and not wall time, I wonder why Durable Objects bill wall time still? Considering most of the time you’re waiting for the response from the LLM, the cost for AI agents on Cloudflare would be cheaper than anything else by a wide margin I suspect, if this were changed

@_ashleypeacock Because on waking up from hibernation, the Durable Object is re-initialized from the constructor, which means it was not holding any memory on a machine.

@_ashleypeacock For the websocket messages, from what I understand, they handle it at a different layer (closer to the network?) to let the Durable Object sleep. That is what makes hibernation possible.
