I want to say something many will hate but it needs to be said. I have met Nigel Farage. I do not know him well but I know the world he moves in. We move in similar circles sometimes. The kind of private rooms and members clubs that most people in Britain will never see. I know how the rich speak about ordinary people. They laugh. They joke about how easy it is to wind you up. They know exactly which buttons to press. They know you are angry and tired and struggling and they know you want someone to blame. That is why they point at boats while they pick your pockets. I did not grow up rich. I did not grow up in privilege. I understand struggle and the real world. But my life changed and now I see both sides. I sit with billionaires and politicians and decision makers and I hear conversations you never will. I know the truth. They do not care about you. They do not care about your future. They care about profit and control. They see ordinary people as tools or distractions. I am telling you this because I am tired of watching good people being manipulated. Look at your life before Brexit and look at it now. Look at your shopping bills. Look at what food costs in Europe right now. Look at how much tax you pay on imports. Look at your wages and energy prices and mortgages. Look at the 10,000 NHS staff we lost when freedom of movement ended. Look at the ambulances that do not arrive. Look at nurses and teachers using food banks. Tell me honestly. Are you better off? Nigel helped build the crisis you are living in. Then he pointed at immigrants and told you to blame them. That is the con. He pulled the UK out of the Dublin III agreement which means we cannot return asylum seekers to Europe anymore. He created the boat chaos then told you to panic about it. Someone who worked in immigration for more than ten years told me they saw it coming. It was planned. It is a strategy. And you are falling for it. Now he wants austerity again. He wants to cut wages for young people. He wants to rip up workers rights. He wants private health insurance and a French style NHS where the rich get treated first and the poor get nothing. He wants you fighting each other so you never see who is robbing you. If you vote for him you are voting to destroy your own life. Not mine. Yours. None of this affects me personally. I drink champagne with the people who control the money. I will be fine no matter what. Reform will not hurt me. Reform will hurt you. It will hurt your children. Your parents. Your future. I am telling you because I care. If I did not care I would stay silent and watch you suffer. You think I am your enemy because I make you uncomfortable. I am not. @JillBelch @Electroversenet Apart from the fact that these are local temperature records, there is a clear trend of increasing temperature after ~1850 for Jan temps and ~1960 for Jul. @Electroversenet, give us the statistical test results that show there is no significant difference throughout the period.

@Electroversenet Shockingly misleading. Look at the graph closely and you see the exact temp rise of about 2.5 above baseline of 1960s. Don’t listen to these folk trying to mislead you.

365 years of temperature data from central England, the world's longest running climate record, show no trend. Despite a six-fold rise in population and a surge in CO2, January temperatures have barely shifted since 1600. Likewise for July, the hottest month of the year, temperatures are virtually unchanged. Even during the coal-fired Industrial Revolution there was no sudden spike. The warmest winters on record occurred in the 1700s, the 1800s, and the early 1900s, long before modern emissions. Any warming appears slow and natural, with the slight modern uptick likely linked to two factors: 1) the urban heat island effect, and 2) Earth's gradual recovery from the Little Ice Age. If carbon dioxide truly controlled the climate, the CET record would shoot upward on the right. It does not.

Anyone on benefits in this country. Pause for a second. There is a reason those benefits exist. Because life broke somewhere. Illness. Disability. Caring. Redundancy. Same life. Same bills. Same stress. Then extra charges on top. Less support. More punishment dressed up as discipline. How are you meant to survive that. Honestly. This is not theoretical. They are not hiding it. They are proud of it. Things are bad right now. Reform are openly promising to make them worse for you. So the question is simple. Are you okay with that. Are you genuinely okay voting for people who are telling you they will take more from you when you already have nothing left. I struggle to understand it. Then I stop pretending. Because if you are choosing this anyway it means something else comes first. Anger. Blame. Racism. Someone to point at while your own plate gets emptier. If that is the choice then own it. Say it. Do not pretend this is about helping ordinary people. They are screaming what they want to do to you. Loud. Proud. No shame. And still some of you cheer. That is not being ignored. “Millions of barrels a day” is simply not true. Rosebank oil field is expected to produce ~70–90 thousand barrels per day at peak. That’s: • ~0.07–0.09 million barrels/day • <10% of UK demand • And most of it would be exported So it wouldn’t materially lower UK energy bills anyway.

@EllieChowns Correctly targeted overseas aid is the most sustainable form of defence. It can promote health and prosperity, address climate and biodiversity breakdown, thereby reducing the drivers for mass migration and conflict. It is obvious that the aid budget should be increased, not cut.

Pitching development against defence is utterly short-sighted; we will not make Britain safer by making the rest of the world less secure.

Don't be fooled: renewables are NOT REPLACING fossil fuels, they're ADDING to them. Globally, 2025 saw record fossil fuel consumption and record emissions. Global warming is accelerating. Clean energy growth doesn't matter for climate if fossil fuel consumption is increasing.
