The mid-level theatrical release that used to give a British film a quiet run just doesn’t really exist. So when we’re developing, when we’re writing, there’s only one question that matters. Will people get off the sofa for this? Is it an event? Does it feel zeitgeisty? Is there a built in audience? Because if the answer is no, it’s not ready. That’s not selling out. That’s the job. Think commercially. Think theatrically. Start there. Every time.

@bobbyiceman I don’t remember if I watched it fully (I only remember getting put off by the costumes) but I don’t remember the Camelot arc at all so that’s a good reference point for me.

@Calxiyn No the Frozen stuff is Season 4. I actually like that arc and think it's quite clever. Season 5 is the Camelot arc with all these retcons and contrivances that just keep resetting the characters

The Oscars In Memoriam ignored him but I cannot. He was my friend. I put him in five films. In early January I buried James “PJ” Ransone after he committed suicide… He was a complex, funny, talented, and undeniably reckless person. He was wildly alive and deeply loved. I know he said some infuriating things online, but the last time I saw him, he cried with regret for all of that. “I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings,” he said. Please don’t trash him here. He is dearly missed.
