The French Diet: - Butter - Coffee - Cheese - Red meat - Fresh produce They have the lowest obesity rate in the EU and eat 20% of their calories from saturated fat. Why does no one talk about this?

@KetoChristineMI I've been struggling for a couple of weeks. In honor of Halloween, there are tons of candy at my office. Im a stress eater so it's been more challenging to resist all those loved sweets.

I set a goal to play a sport every week. Last week was Tennis. This week was basketball. I don't jump like I used to. (Although I can still touch the rim I discovered today!) But it's so peaceful & fun going out to shoot hoops for an hour. I legit thought I was going to be in the NBA until I was 16. It's a tough market for a white 5'10 guy! But I've always loved basketball. I've always enjoyed the game both watching & playing. It'll look different as I age, but my goal is to stay athletic as long as possible so I'm gonna keep playing sports as long as possible! Grateful a handful of weeks away from 42 I'm still healthy enough to go shoot & have fun! 🙏🏀 .

After completing chemo & radiation treatments in early 2019, I desperately wanted to gain weight. But what I really needed was strength. I stopped chasing the scale and started rebuilding: muscle, confidence, energy, life. Not just recovery. A full-scale comeback.

🚪 Imagine if you will… steak, eggs & scallions as your only meal of the day. No carbs. No snacks. Just fuel. Time-restricted eating confuses gym bros & shocks nutritionists. Welcome to the Nutrition Twilight Zone 🌌🥩🍳

Dry fasting for 24 hours triggers: 3 x the rate of fat loss Increased growth hormone Enhanced autophagy Improved insulin sensitivity Cellular cleanup But sure, focus on the temporary kidney marker elevation that resolves as soon as you start eating again. Ignore all the benefits, catastrophise the adaptation response. That's modern health discourse.

Low carb diets throughout history: 1797: Dr. John Rollo pioneers a meat-based diet for diabetes. 1825: Jean Brillat-Savarin's low-carb book is published, allowing fruit. 1834: Sir William Bardsley advocates a carnivore low-carb diet for diabetes in his "Essay on Diabetes." 1850: Dr. Apollinaire Bouchardat publishes a book on fasting and low-carb diets for diabetes. 1863: William Banting popularizes a low-carb approach for weight loss. 1873: Dr. Frederick Pavy publishes a book on low-carb diets for diabetes. 1882: Dr. Wilhelm Ebstein releases his LCHF (low-carb, high-fat) book. 1896: Dr. Arnaldo Cantani recommends a low-carb diet for diabetes. 1911: Dr. James Salisbury publishes a meat-based ketogenic diet for various conditions in the book "Principles of Dietetics." 1921: The ketogenic diet is introduced for epilepsy treatment. 1927: Dr. Elliott Joslin's diabetes diet limits daily carbs to 100g. 1953: Dr. Alfred Pennington advocates a keto diet for obesity. 1972: Dr. Robert Atkins releases his book, popularizing the Atkins diet. Yet why doesn't the establishment at least offer it as an option to patients? They don't even mention it.

Wow. I have had two good friends who happen to be atheist reach out to me over the past day. We talked about deep matters that we never have before. They are both questioning what they believe about the world. I am stunned by their raw emotions. Something is stirring.

Early morning stroll back in my hometown Quincy, IL. Lots of feelings and emotions of what a different world it was 50 years ago when I graduated from high school. #classof75 #reunion

@IowaAggie10 This reminds me of James 4:17 " anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them".  So many times I sit back and do nothing to avoid trouble. This needs to change in us
