@thetradingbro We have for all house projects so far. But we are going to do our kitchen before our second kid is born and that would wipe out most of our cash reserves. Still planning on paying mostly cash but may tap HELOC for part of it. Still undecided.

I understand that many towns are changing over to LED's as their yellow sodium streetlights start to die. But why do they have to be bright white? Is there a yellow LED that is as cheap as the bright white one? I'd love to pitch my town supervisor on keeping our town yellow.

I am so annoyed watching this. This guy is out here mowing his grass and just letting all the clippings fly everywhere all over the road, the sidewalk, and into the street like it’s nobody’s business. Really? You can’t be bothered to use a bag or even point the chute the other way? Now the whole neighborhood has to deal with your grass mess blowing around and sticking to everyone’s cars. This is exactly why our streets always look dirty. A little common courtesy goes a long way. contain your mess instead of making it everyone else’s problem.

I’m from a tiny tourist town at the end of the road on Lake Superior, population 136. An odd phenomenon exists in the off-season where people choose to come there to die. One guy offed himself in room 22 at my grandparents’ motel, so we call it getting Room 22’ed.
