This is why you don't jump at every opportunity that comes your way.
White House staff didn't think twice before being photographed by Christopher Anderson – a photographer who is NOTORIOUS for taking very raw, very close-up portraits. Look how that turned out.
Ask some questions before saying yes to the opp. Most importantly, WHY.
Why do they want to talk to you? Why are they writing this piece? If you don't think to ask, they've already got you tight by the ego.
Then, ask yourself WHY you want to do this. Is it for the exposure? For the flattery? Or to get a specific message out? If you've not got a clear "why I'm doing this" when you walk into the interview, expect to totally lose control of where it goes.
You have the OPTION to show up for opportunities that make sense for the story you want to tell. Don't say yes to every one of them. And for the love of all that is holy, consult your PR team first.

I was a fashion photographer for over a decade before crypto. I worked for magazines like @ELLEmagazine @marieclaire @Cosmopolitan and brands like @LouisVuitton @gucci and more. The Vanity Fair article was a setup to mock crypto and those it depicted.
