@MichLKosinski I wasn’t a fan of Lindsey Graham but this post reflects poorly on CNN and you. Perhaps if the press did its job of reporting facts as they happen, our politics wouldn’t be so bad. It is truly the mark of a coward to trash talk someone after their death.

My most enduring memory of Graham was backstage at CNN one day. He was heard on his phone loudly ranting about Rex Tillerson being "a disaster as Secretary of State."

Totally disagree.
Study the punter you're facing this week.
Put your kid at that depth.
So many programs don't do a very good job with the kick/punt return game simply because they don't put in the film time.
And that's okay.
Special Teams isn't for everyone!
One program I was at with about 35 teams in the division, our offense and defense ranked in the bottom 1/5; our special teams was ranked within the top 8 in every ST category.
Same athletes.

Scheming up and practicing a punt return at the high school level is a gigantic waste of time. Most hs punters aren't going to kick it far enough for your return to get set up. Just put the kid with the best hands on the team back there and make sure he doesn't let it roll.

1130 here. IMHO, let the SWOs have command at sea-- ALL commands at sea. The aviator, amphibious, deep draft circuit is solely a pathway to power and the airdale monopoly on CVN command. And some one please explain to me why a SWO cruiser skipper (advised by a CAG) couldn’t be counted on to maneuver a CVN into the wind? This is about tail hook dominance. Maybe, it’s time for SWOs to take the navy back.

@yonann Yes, everyone has the right to give their opinion, but your opinion is your opinion, nothing more, nothing less. What irritates everyone is we go to an athlete/celebrity/actor to give an opinion on something they know nothing about and we take it as the gospel.

I haven’t coached at the private high school level, so I can’t speak from that perspective. However, I did attend a private school as a reclassifying eighth grader, so I’ve seen that environment firsthand.
I’ve coached at the high school level and served as an Assistant Athletic Director. Most of my coaching career has been at the college level, including stops at the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, the University of Miami, Christopher Newport, and Norfolk State. I’ve also worked in the NFL and spent years as a national recruiting analyst evaluating thousands of high school prospects.
My father has coached public high school football for over 40 years and was recently nominated for the National High School Hall of Fame. During his career, he developed numerous Division I and NFL players, most notably Michael Vick and Aaron Brooks.
With that being said he never lost a kid to a private school.

Hi Tommy …. I’m really curious if you have coaching experience at the high school level at both public and private school schools? Please provide your background an experience to basically say the public school coaches only have to make their programs better to compete with the recruiting of the private schools. I coached in Los Angeles, Oakland, Richmond, and Berkeley public schools. I also coached in private schools in Vallejo, Oakland, Concord and San Jose. There is zero comparison between the two situations.

If you believe a private school “steals” players from public schools, you’re looking at the issue the wrong way.
Families make decisions they believe are best for their children. Coaches don’t own athletes. Schools don’t own athletes.
Instead of blaming other programs, focus on building a program that players want to be a part of.
That’s how you win.

I remember when I worked at CNN and saw @davidaxelrod in the green room. Asked a question that continues to befuddle me. Never got a satisfying response. Here goes again: During entire SCOTUS history, when has there EVER been a liberal justice — appointed by a Democrat POTUS — considered to be a “swing vote,” in the tradition of a Justice Anthony Kennedy. So rare to see the three liberal justices on the current court now EVER act as a “swing vote.”
And yet, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, ACB, and Chief Justice Roberts (MANY TIMES) side with the liberal wing. Why? Think that Sotomayor or Kagan or KBJ would EVER take a *consequential position not aligned with their preferred ideology? Serious question. Why are “swing votes” almost always right to left? 🤔
