After a real "brush with death" a few weeks ago, I am now back, very grateful to The Lord to be alive, more aware that tomorrow is not promised, and that God has prolonged my days for reason. Thank you to family, friends, and co-workers for seeing me through this...and of course the surgeon and all healthcare workers 🙏🙏 If anyone has tried to reach me via phone without success, that is because the "first responders" who rescued me decided to pay themselves with my phones, other items, and even my eye glasses 😊 Anyway, nothing is more valuable than life. So we move.

The State cannot be the enemy of journalism yet it licenses the media houses that employ the journalists. You’re lucky that the internet is still on.

Dear colleagues in the media, we can hang in there no more. We already have the story. Any further coverage would worsen things. These are the dark days of journalism. The state is number one enemy of journalism. Unfortunately we are on our own.

How many motor accidents and fatalities must be registered on one of those round abouts along Mbarara bypass before being removed?? It's in the wrong place and any person can attest to this! Something has to be done.

@UgandaMediaCent You mat want to make use of a more cleaner background drop piece. The current one doesn't give you a good image for your media briefing

As millions of Ugandans flocked different churches to attend Christmas prayers and perhaps later retreat to their homes to feast, several young Ugandans were seen on the streets of Uganda's capital, Kampala sleeping the day away, as captured by @DavyLubz. Wonderful story. Was she bleached!

There’s this lady in my circle who is always looking shabby, reticent and lugubrious. So over the weekend I surprised her with a midnight inquiry text—wanting to nose into her life—which she responded to with indescribable rapidity as though she was eyeing for it. We chatted for an hour and I promised to take her out for dinner the following day which as a Sunday. In my mind I was like how am I gonna be seen with this shabby woman who doesn’t care about her looks? Wouldn’t people say birds of the same feathers flock together? I decided to risk. After all, I wanted to make someone happy. I felt obligated. Oh my! The lady showed up at the rendezvous looking hot and unbelievably delectable. I thought I was dreaming. This time she wasn’t in baggy clothes and a winter jacket heavier and bigger than her. She lotioned her skin and it glistened with exuberance, oiled and combed her long Argentinian black lush hair, did nails and worked on lips. The lips looked honeyed and when she smiled, I felt like a honey badger 🦡. She dressed to kill a moment. She looked like a bride. We had a meal and a few drinks. The following day, she appeared clotheshorse-unusually—and asked me why I cared about her? Me: Why? Her: No one has ever given me a shoulder to lean on and I felt very important and live when you asked me about my feelings and the subsequent lunch. Me: Oh 😥 come here. And then we hugged. And she felt so good. Isn’t it nice to make someone happy?

How I miss retired Archbishop 0f Church Of Uganda Henry Luke Orombi's preaching. He would have really added more colour at yesterday's events at Bugembe cathedral. Wishing you the best in your retirement Sir.

The benefit of being born with people who are cleverer and more serious than you is that they do the work and you can share in the glory just on account of bloodline. Some fellows in the family are working on our ancestry going back centuries. So far on the paternal male lineage alone, I am Wod (son of) Martin Obbo. Grandfather is Tomasi Onyango. Great Grandfather Okilangoĺe aka Orando. Great Great Grandfather Okanya. Great Great Great Grandfather Otaso. Great Great Great Great Grandfather Pasule. And they are still going…wouldn’t be surprised if they roll in 500 years. I take a bow 🙇🏾‍♀️🙇🏾‍♀️🙇🏾‍♀️

Subjecting our kids to these two grueling PLE days where they have to prove what they’ve learnt for seven years is the most inhumane act that we must all condemn. Let’s never celebrate UNEB exams. They’re cruel.
