We have submitted recommendations to Uganda’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies Strategy national task force , calling for a human rights-centred approach to the governance of these technologies. Uganda is developing a National AI & Emerging Technologies Strategy and we are calling for it to put human rights first. AI is already being used in customs, healthcare, agriculture & finance in Uganda. The question is, will its governance keep up? We require a scientific study to investigate how this brand achieved ubiquity in professional and social gatherings / meetings in Uganda. One objective of the study should be to determine the source of the brand’s strength: does it lie in its name, its brand-building efforts, both, or other contributing factors? Additionally, the study should assess how the brand is performing against highly competitive new entrants and its strategies for sustaining success over the next 20 years, as it has done in the past.
