In the Event of Twitter's Demise, here is where to find @bookmarkedone (a thread). (yes, some of these will be a little like riddles because I've been informed the algorithm will silence those trying to escape) (yes, I had too much fun with this)

@oghofer I noticed that a random person was mocking a friend's blogpost, not giving her any credit for it. I called him out. He cursed at me. Then he deleted the original post. I suggested he should also apologize to me. He didn't take it well.

Night Owling's twitter rules of engagement 1. If you curse at me I won't see it, unless I actually try to see your response, because I have all curse words muted 2. You cursing at me doesn't hurt me. It hurts you. Being verbally abusive at strangers on twitter hurts your soul

The Truth Behind the Viral Granny-Fiction Post! Reading the shocking story here!! (Seriously though, @bookmarkedone is smart and levelheaded and doesn't push any weird "woke" ideas, so I think it's hilarious that it's HER post, of all people's, that has gotten this response)

You may have seen this title card making its way around without context or author credit. Hi! I’m bookmarkedone, author of the blog post. While I’ve got you’re attention, let’s do a little misinformation mythbusting, shall we?☺️ (1/10)

@MichaelFKane @rowlands_laws Hi! Author of the post in question here. This is actually a list of short stories celebrating iconic fictional women. Four are from critically acclaimed sources in the SF/F world. I imagine no. 3 might be the kind of protagonist you’re looking for. x.com/bookmarkedone/…

But a granny-aged character isn’t going to make a story an overnight success any more than an ensemble cast or a YA heroine will. Luckily, you have a curated list. Featuring internationally-acclaimed authors, a Hugo-winning magazine, and meticulous bookmarkedone reviews. (9/10)

Okay but what if the granny is recently windowed and decides to sell her life's possessions to buy a spaceship, powered armor, and lot and LOTS of guns to do some bounty hunting alongside her cat Mr. Darcy? 🤔

@bookmarkedone I enjoy reading about old men, so of course, I love reading about old women- and one of my favorite characters of all time SHOULD count as a "granny"... Dark Crystal's Aughra is a shining example of older characters written well.💖

This was a very sneaky way to lure me out of my indefinite Twitter hiatus! I’m off again now. But much love to my Twitter readers—you’re welcome at the blog anytime! Read good books. Don’t spread misinformation. Be nice in the comments.☺️

I made this list because every stage of life has beauty and every person has value—young, old, weak, strong, wise, innocent, able-bodied or not. “Granny fiction” encapsulates this, subverting tropes and rejecting stereotypes. It’s never too late to go on an adventure. (10/10)
