@everycarpet @Indian_Bronson This is a joke I’m in Joburg right now. The inner city is super dangerous like any major city in the world but all the surrounding suburbs and business areas like Sandton and Rosebank are booming. But yeah every house has a wall with electric fences and security guards on patrol

In 10 years it will be “obvious” that the thing to have done today was form aligned private societies which build huge, gated, luxurious, city-like infrastructure projects (including acquiring undeveloped & low density land) — but how many will do it?
