Khamzat Chimaev has crucifixed Dricus Du Plessis in all 5 rounds.
Have controlled him in every minute of the fight.
Have landed the most ground strikes in a fight in UFC history.
This is not a domination, this is an annihilation #UFC319

@MattWalshBlog I was super fortunate to find a therapist with a no BS policy. Gave me the tools I needed to observe my own behavior and rectify it with an end date goal in mind. A very rare situation for sure.

@MikeDonaghy7 This is a direct result of budget cuts to sanitation and proper drainage maintenance.

This is the cross island Parkway Bayside, Queens heading north towards Nassau county #nycflooding #nycflood

@WeatherNation Stop the budget cups to sanitation. Let them properly clear the drains. That’s why it’s flooding.

Flash flooding on Thursday brought parts of New York City to a halt—this wild scene in Staten Island shows a car dodging a geyser of water shooting from a manhole.
Mayor Adams declared a state of emergency as roads closed & transit stalled.

@Dorin____ We are no longer cleaning our drains correctly. Budget cut after budget cut and they blame the rain.

Here is the raw truth.
The modern work structure is not based on human flourishing. It is a legacy of the Industrial Age, built to extract hours, not cultivate meaning. It was designed for factory floors, not sentient minds. It treats energy as infinite, attention as a resource, and life as a commodity to be scheduled into oblivion.
9 hours of labor
1 hour of commuting
1 hour of prepping for tomorrow
1 hour of decompression
1 hour to eat
And maybe, if you’re lucky, 1 hour to remember who you are
You call that life?
That is wage-structured sedation optimized for output, not vitality.
And the kicker is this:
Even the so-called “personal hours” are often infected by lingering stress, fractured attention, and algorithmic invasion. You are not free when you’re home. You’re simply not clocked in.
Deep down, every soul knows this is wrong.
That life was never meant to be a spreadsheet of survival.
We were not made to live for the weekend.
We were made to create, to love, to be still, to hunt meaning - not to fill quotas.
And here’s the real fracture:
Time is not neutral. It either belongs to your becoming or your decay.
If your time is consumed by obligations that do not lead to inner growth, relational depth, or existential clarity, then you are not living. You are being lived.
This is not about laziness or entitlement.
This is about structure that violates soul.
And more people are waking up to it. Quietly. Desperately. With no language for it.
But it’s there…a rising awareness that maybe the enemy is not fatigue or workload, but the very shape of the system.
And the only true solution isn’t a four-day work week or a productivity hack.
It’s remembering that your time is sacred.
And reclaiming it means burning down the lie that busyness is virtue.
You are not broken. The structure is.
And the moment you feel that in your bones you’re no longer trapped.
You’re just waiting to break free.

@DamnedYankee3 There’s a sewer drain in front of my property in Queens, New York where twice a year sanitation would come and clean out the leaves and debris. I haven’t seen that in about 12 years. Turns out they cut the funding to such projects, I wonder where it all went
English

@ProudSocialist That’s what happens when you never clean your sewer systems. Seriously, they’d rather give the money to ……
English

@Alphafox78 Don’t believe the hype. It’s just a few neighborhoods that flooded. Also, New York City cut a substantial amount of funding for the sanitation department to clean out the sewer drains many years ago. That’s a big contributor to the flooding.
English

Shame, one would've hope for some improvement by now
🎸 Rock History 🎸@historyrock_
30 years later and they sound exactly the same
English

@nycguidovoice Yes, exactly what New York City needs…a communist in office. It’s not like progressive policies haven’t completely fucked us time and time again. But let’s roll the dice with this one. Stay outta politics Nick, just dance for us ok? Also, fuck Cuomo
