@imaginestore It's so frustrating trying to buy an iMac from you. Been over a week and customer support is just non-responsive, and uses random delay tactics. @Apple @ImagineApplePR Can someone please respond? Am ready to buy since 1 week.

@gauravsabnis Gaurav you seem to attract such eclectic people on your travels. I really empathize for you. Such magnificence of nature and these louts spoiling it. At least they could have shouted Iguazu Iguazu.

Gives me no pleasure to write this 🧵 but @k_rupal @prichills can verify every detail. Went for a Boat Safari where they take you under Iguaçu falls. To get to the boat, you have to change 3 vehicles & stand in line multiple times. There was an Indian tour group with INAIR. /1

The purpose of life of an Indian is to escape India, it can either be done by leaving India physically or figuratively by shifting to a gated community. Once the Indian escapes India, India becomes the best country in the world & requires no improvement.

Bangalore folks, if you like standup, @AbijitG is in town. Very funny and relatable. Indiranagar show seems to be full, but the Jagriti show on Sunday afternoon 330 is wide open. Please come to Whitefield. We really like our cozy small theater, you'll have a great experience.

@jassneetsingha @yourpsb Thank you Jassneet. I am slightly more interested in Marriott ecosystem than Avios. But will still evaluate.

If Marriott and HDFC revisit the earn rates of the Bonvoy card, it could be a real game-changer—especially with the way Amex cards are shaping up in India. The current earn rates are really poor: A) 8 points per ₹150 spent at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy B) 4 points per ₹150 spent on travel, dining and entertainment C) 2 points per ₹150 spent on all other applicable spends Even with the milestones, it does not make sense to spend on this card. What are your thoughts?

@yourpsb It’s the same for everyone 😄. That’s why the earn rates should be looked at. It can become a good card when Amex isn’t interested. Marriott increasing point requirements. Amex giving fewer points now. Need another card to fill the gap.

@pharmeasyapp extremely irresponsible -- my senior citizen parent has been waiting for an order since 16 Feb. Every day getting new update on delays. No way to contact a human and chatbot doesn't allow escalation.

My friend got an offer from Google for 96L (SDE3). A year later, Microsoft 1.3-1.4 Cr(SSE in Hyderabad), Oracle around 1Cr (that's more than 120-140k USD). There's enough money if one is talented. Plus, I also have friends who turned 8 lakh into 80 lakh by riding the post-COVID wave in a year.

I just heard some eye popping numbers for an engineer’s salary in Bangalore. And now I need to check into a sanitorium to recover from the shock. I used to think only NRIs buy these wanky fancy apartments/villas here.

Sigh. Why do people do this? I find time for them the same day. Right now it's 6:07, no call, no message about their delay.

@imYadav31 What's the best option for government spends now?

Got a DM from someone who closed his Amex Platinum Travel after seeing everyone talk about the new milestone changes. Problem? That was his ONLY milestone card. And his other cards don’t even give points on government spends. He followed the noise…..not his own spending pattern. Asked him to request Amex for reinstatement.......thankfully, he got it back. Lesson: Don’t close cards based on Twitter trends. Review YOUR spends. Review YOUR card portfolio. Then decide. 💳

Don't give up on the Biz Black so soon. It is still being offered as floater via offline route. A #CCgeek friend from X got the approval yesterday. It has nothing to do with having an Infinia. I have it as a floater on Regalia Gold. You just have to meet the eligibility criteria. See my Article in the first comment for the eligibility. For those who are in NCR, just drop a DM, and I will share the number of a guy who can get you this card. For people in other cities, here is what you can try & might work: 👉 Look for the dedicated Credit Card team in your city. These are not attached with any branch, and sit in a separate office. They are different from your RM. 👉 In Delhi, this team sits alongside the loan team. That is how I got in touch with them. So if you know any HDFC loan guy, or can come in contact with one through a DSA or someone who has recently taken a loan, try to find out if they know someone from the Credit Card team. 👉 The credit card team should be able to get you the Biz Black as a floater. 👉 End of the day, a lot depends on the individual & the team who are handling your application. But yes, there is no doubt about it, it is a killer card for people who are self employed!
Ankur Mittal@ankurmittal

HDFC has stopped issuing Floater BizBlack cards, so now even Infinia card holders can't get it.. No doubt it's one of the most rewarding credit card. Much better than Infinia for self employed

@maverickush @ankitdewan Happy to pay a bounty if someone can get DCB issued as an Infinia floater in Bangalore. Fulfil all the criteria but RM hitting a dead end internally.

Good article on the Tiger Global-Flipkart tax ruling "A foreign investor today must price in not only the business risk but also the risk that the tax treaty signed today will be reinterpreted tomorrow. We are now in the grip of tax authorities, who have weak knowledge of economic growth, and a judicial system which has failed to uphold the sanctity of contracts"

This campaign wasn’t built by politicians or PR teams. It was built by citizens. Thanks to every person who checked data, shared proof, asked questions and refused to stay silent. And credit to India Today for covering #YeTheekKarkeDikhao when most media prefers bootlicking over accountability. People > Power. Link-indiatoday.in/india/story/mp…
