Musk’s Terafab Venture: Intel recently joined Elon Musk’s "Terafab" project. This venture aims to produce custom GaN (Gallium Nitride) chiplets and advanced semiconductors for Tesla and SpaceX. Intel's advanced packaging technology (EMIB-T) was the deciding factor for this deal. Google Expansion: On April 9, 2026, Intel and Google announced a multiyear expansion of their infrastructure partnership. This deal focuses on custom Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) and high-end CPUs to alleviate bottlenecks in AI data centers that have been overly reliant on GPUs.
