These takes are beyond retarded. But even a very high level security person told me similar bullshit. He literally hacks hardware wallets to recover client assets. It’s undeniable he knows crypto security. At a crypto event surrounded by people he claimed that everyone was better off using CEXes than self custody. I told him he was wrong and retarded (respectfully) and he conceded to agree to disagree. 10 days later, FTX collapsed. CEXes have a purpose and I continue to use them, but I would never store the majority of my assets with a third party that I don’t have a personalized contract with that can collapse or freeze my assets for any reason at any time. Use a hardware wallet (Ledger/Trezor/Lattice1) and protect your web3 transactions with @Kerberus.
