@thealfordplea @JJ_Denhollander Yes! That big, red rule book. It also offered parents a way to corral their kids into auditoriums filled with other kids who were reading, dressing and dating from the same script.

The thing about having grown up in ATI/IBLP and watching "Happy Shiny People" is remembering how superior and Godly we were made to feel being a part of it, and how absolutely insane it seems on this side of it. Lots to process--and I got off easy because I was male.

Many years ago when we were in our 20s, one of our dearest couple friends (still close) lost a preschooler to cancer. Nearly killed all of us in our circle. The fuller details of the last moments are too sacred for social media but I can’t get a part of it out of my mind this AM.

@ScottFightsALS I'm so, so sorry. My husband had ALS from 2010-2015, but our kids were teenagers at the time. I can't imagine how difficult it is to go through with littles. Sharing your same emotions about ALS today. Time to END this wretched disease.

It’s hard not to take "I’m not kissing Daddy cause I don’t like him!" personally when you have #ALS. Even if she is only three. She’s too young to understand why I can’t move or have to talk with machine. I’d be scared of me too! This is definitely a f*ck ALS day. #heartbroken 💔

Jesus tells us to pray for daily bread, but we’d rather have a Costco relationship with God. We'd rather have stuff in bulk so as not to come back to God so often. But we can't live without daily dependence.

We damage the dignity of others when we refuse to wait for them – whether they need to tie their own shoes or they are struggling to find words for the indescribable.  We bestow honor on another when we consider him or her worth waiting for.

Genuine question. What justice issue can Christians talk about without immediately getting dismissed as “woke”? Because it seems some within the anti-woke groups are veering off into some dangerous territory that encourages turning a blind eye.
