By popular demand, xAI’s @Grok Imagine has begun testing C2PA on its genAI slop. I’m sure we’ll soon see a @ContentAuth announcement celebrating the milestone. Of course, stripping or altering metadata, including C2PA, is a commodity for large‑scale bot operations.

@paulinadots This is absolutely fire! 🔥 The animation flows so smoothly – that red puffer look popping against the swoosh and swirling fabrics is next-level. Grok Imagine crushed the details from text to full motion. What's the starting prompt? Can't wait to see more!

Grok Imagine ✨ Incredible!!! Precise Workflow: Text to Image → Edit + Complex Background → Detailed Animation Notice = Perfect Fashion Video!! What do you think @grok?

"uncontrolled memory and CPU consumption" Adobe is planning to limit the number of "edits" to 50. 😂 Of course, not in the specs. But since Adobe write the specs, it will be in next version. A Wacom C2PA can have 15k+ edits and the Google ones 200+ github.com/contentauth/c2…

It only took two whole months before someone finally create an issue that @Google C2PA implementations are basically DoS‑ing the official @Adobe @ContentAuth @C2PAorg validators. github.com/contentauth/c2…

@sherifhanna @zeynep @semaforben Google added C2PA to imaGen in mid-August 2025, generating tens of billions of AI images since. The Pixel 10, released on August 28, 2025, relies on “computational capture” (AI) and “AI composite”, with no purely authentic camera output. The rest is PR for regulatory capture. 📸

@zeynep @semaforben Yup, that's why our first C2PA integration was in Pixel Camera for authentic camera captures, not GenAI. We've extended support to Pixel 9 devices in addition to Pixel 10, with more to come. Question is how to get this capability into the hands of the people who need it most.

@sherifhanna @elonmusk @Anc_Aesthetics @nikitabier Prioritize C2PA content credentials, and give incentive for bot farms to game it. And it's easy. There is a reason why Social Platforms never implemented C2PA. Linkedin doesn't count: C2PA is on life-support there, only for Microsoft AI safety reports.

Meet L. Rosenthol: C2PA Architect, PDF Architect, ISO TC171 SC2 Chairman, Adobe Senior Principal Scientist and member of everything else. And yes, he excavated a 34 year old obscure spec to bury C2PA in it, breaking the internet, and lecture anyone brave enough to ask why.

Meet Paul Melcher, "Expert in visual content authenticity and provenance", member and evangelist of the @C2PA_org. He has just launch a new #C2PA "Translator in Plain english" verifier. Of course I had to try it with some random forgery. 🤡

@icreatelife @momblogger Adobe is using the deprecated v1.4 of C2PA. There is no assurance, with this version, that any info like the tools used can be trusted.

@momblogger Me too! I was hoping it would be Content Credentials. Those have way more info about tools used. But it's better than nothing.

𝕏 just added "Made with AI" labels and creators are panicking that using labels will tank engagement. Let's find out. If this labeled post shows up in your feed, like/comment to help settle the debate once and for all.

The @verge worries that "[...]rhetoric, and the C2PA itself, are substitutes for actual meaningful action." theverge.com/tech/885727/sa… Don't worry, @ContentAuth has been lobbying all along for the AI industry: they promised the C2PA to regulators, knowing it would never work.

@kevinschaul The @C2PA_org is just endless implementation disasters. The real story is @ContentAuth: Adobe + Microsoft + Google + OpenAI’s regulatory-capture interest group for the AI industry. Their mission? Dodging regulation. x.com/botsdontcry1/s…

Yes! It got worse! @adobe @contentauth is promoting a genAI advertorial they probably paid for, on the 100% AI Slop Social Network @Linkedin, published on a AI content farm bloated with ads for AI Slop. 🤦‍♀️ The AI Content Farm link: techtimes.com/articles/31484…

What is worse? 1. @Adobe advertising on AI Slop farms ? 2. @ContentAuth .bsky.social probably buying advertorials for @C2PA_org on the same AI Slop farms ? Note: The headshot is from the AI model that generated this article. diyphotography.net/content-creden… You can skip it.

A disappointing step backward for metadata standards. @Google was the last major platform still preserving @IPTC for its genAI Slop, a format readable by nearly any tool from the past two decades. Now it embeds only C2PA: a bloated format that no software can parse.

Fun fact for anyone who prefers cannibalism over dogfooding for their AI slop needs (part 2): One of the video promoting the @GeminiApp 3 "Deep Think", as a peer review peer, includes a 13s06->16s06 insert of a video generated by @Kling_ai 3. blog.google/innovation-and…

Google’s @C2PA_org genAI Slop provenance is bloated beyond the absurd: 2.1MB of metadata on a 700kB JPEG, offering nothing useful beyond @Google's own entries and nearly crashing @Adobe's verifier. A simple max 4kB signed “Generated by AI” tag would’ve been more than enough.

It appears that Adobe’s C2PA is now working with the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) lobby group rather than @ContentAuth . Why C2PA was in India ? Adobe’s agreement with the government to provide "free" "AI‑first learning" to students? gadgets360.com/ai/news/ai-imp…

Meet Erik Svilich: co‑chair of the #C2PA Text Task Force and the creator of the @unicode hack that enabled embedding C2PA metadata into plain text. It somehow made its way into the official C2PA specification: without consulting @unicode. His previous venture: AI Avatars Slop.
