@BBCSurreySport How disrespectable towards your opponents. What an appalling thing to say in a interview. Car crash of a club.

@waltonhershamfc 1thing that’s impressed me last 2rounds was excellent referees then today we get that, totally & utterly out of his depth - missed the clearest handball 1st half, allowed a totally average Woking side 2constantly foul then sends Stef off for the clearest yellow there’s ever been

@TheScunnyLad Dan, off the line blog does a lot of good stuff, just because he got a ‘prediction’ wrong doesn’t mean all of his other stuff needs discrediting, loads of other people didn’t have us in the title race

Club Statement: Southport postponement & Fixture update We regret to announce that our Isuzu FA Trophy fixture against Southport has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. Our playing surface was in a perfect condition yesterday and temperatures were not due to fall below zero degrees. Unfortunately, an unexpected frost which wasn't forecasted has affected a small area of the pitch, as it has done with some other clubs in the area. The need for a pitch inspection ahead of today wasn't required with the pitch in a perfectly playable condition. With temperatures expected to rise throughout the morning, we remained hopeful that the temperature and heat lamps would have the desired effect. Upon the referee's arrival, we highlighted a small area of the pitch, and we agreed a provisional pitch inspection for 1:30pm. With the Southport squad already in the local area and away support due to arrive, we felt that giving the pitch as long as possible was the best option to see the game go ahead. Unfortunately, with both teams present, the referee made the decision to postpone this afternoon's fixture. We fully appreciate the time, effort, and money spent by supporters to be in attendance this afternoon. It's for that reason, we were determined to try and get the game on, and give the pitch as much time as possible. We would like to assure supporters that had there been any early indication of a potential postponement, we would have been sure to communicate this at the earliest opportunity. The factors of the attendance and travelling supporters and players will always come into our consideration. Whilst we completely understand the frustrations expressed by Southport in their club statement, there are factual inaccuracies to some of the points made and we would be more than happy to liaise with any of the suggested authorities to show all procedures were followed correctly in the lead up to this fixture. Once again, we sincerely apologise to both sets of supporters for any inconvenience caused by this postponement. Following the postponement, we can now announce that this fixture has been rearranged for Tuesday 13 January 2026, 7:45pm. As a result of this rearrangement, our fixture against Brackley Town will be rescheduled in due course. All tickets remain valid for both fixtures and will be automatically accepted on the turnstiles. For supporters unable to attend either of the fixtures, please email tickets@eastleighfc.com to request a refund.
